Interesting to note: Khari Blasingame is now making $25,882 a week as the Vikings practice squad fullback, up from $15K/week. That’s a nice raise. Might mean that there were other teams poking around about adding him to their 53.

Zimmer has talked about how he wants to have balance. The nice thing about how the Vikings approach their offense now is that the defense can not really tell by our formation or personnel whether we will run or pass out of it. We are absolutely more unpredictable than we have been in the past. With the play action we're supposed to be able to react to how the defense lines up, too. Of course there is deception on the part of the defense, too, but then there will be times where they outsmart themselves if we keep pounding the ball. The Bears offense is so good and fast that any advantage of surprise will have to be just for a split second. In the end, the Vikings will have to man up and make plays against a team that will be highly motivated at home. Any betting man would have to favor the Bears. Nevertheless, if our team is going to be Super, then they will have to find a way to win some of these games. Even if it's not pretty or because the Bears quarterback does something stupid- it's our turn to win that kind of game.

If that were the case the point spread would be about Bears -300

I see the ‘98 Vikings Falcons game comes in at 34th on list of greatest games in NFL history. It still pains me too much to watch the video footage. That was the year. A team for the ages.

CB Meadors is the player cut to make room for Davis.

The Bears promoted a d-lineman to their 53 man roster which suggests that Hicks will not play, or at least be limited.

Also, I just read that the Vikings will wear their home purple uniforms.

Complete with really cute long striped stockings, only way it would look better is if they added a complimenting orange/red color tutu!

Yeah numerous stripes on top of the helmet. Looks like the same era as those Steeler bumble bee looking things they wore.

As much as the Wilf’s embrace the history of the franchise (which I totally dig) I’m surprised we’ve never done much in the way of throwback unis other then the one home purple they’ve done.

For the love of gawd I’m glad they at least got rid of that USFL uniform we had....

Since 2012, Aaron Rodgers is 17-26-1 (.395) against teams that finished the season with a winning record.

I had to manually figure this out since this specific statistic is only brought up about Kirk Cousins and Matthew Stafford.

Points will be at a premium today. We can't give up anything cheap. Make em earn it.

Stop the run and make Trubisky beat us with his arm. Have a spy to limit his running.

And have that from the get-go - not after he picks up two or three third-and-longs.

Exactly. Come out with an aggressive game plan from the start. This defense really responds well when Zim turns them loose. When he has them sit back and react their mediocre at best.

We can't come out sleep walking like in GB.

For cripes sake all we need is for him NOT to lose it for us (I/E strip sack fumbles/ stupid INT’s)

Make a few plays down the field to loosen it up for Dalvin/ Mattison, and grind the sucker out.

Gawd it’s tough to talk about needing your Bazzillionaire QB acquisition to simply not be a liability, but it is what it is.

Go Vikes...

BTW I do remember Kirk Cousins going on the road on I believe MNF with an inferior Washington Redskin team to beat a pretty amazing Seattle Seahawk defense a few years ago.

He’s got it in him somewhere.

You don't like Zimmer's old "let's see what they're game plan is and react to it" defensive plan either huh.
Zimmer seems to use that plan on the road and get aggressive to start at home. Sure would like to see him start aggressive from the get go today and have either Barr or Kendricks spying Trubisky when he drops back.

Kirk absolutely needs to take care of the football today.

oline needs to pass block better and kirk needs to get rid of the ball much quicker than he has been.

Be nice to get Diggs and Theilen involved for some chunk plays.

Our Ol has to be at it's best. They will be looking to dominate us there. By far my biggest concern today.

It could be worse. Stafford could be our QB. He's been doing the come up small/make bonehead play thing way longer than Cousins.

I didn't watch the game. Do you think it's better to not watch anymore? I won't watch the Twins vs the Yankees either. Why should I punish myself.

I'm thinking it's best to pick and choose the games you watch. In general, if it's an away game the Vikings usually play poorly. If it's a home game we are usually good, unless it's on national tv or against a playoff caliber team.....then it's a crap shoot.
