Can't help but point out... 0-2 vs. division opponents. Yay!

It's plausible that they could go 0-6 in division games this year.

The division is playing well. I'd say it's likely. We may win 1 against the Lions.

Vikings: We don't pass protect very well and our QB is shell-shocked, let's have a run-heavy game plan

Opponents: They don't pass protect very well and their QB is shell-shocked, let's sell out and stop their run

Vikings: Oh No! They stopped our run. Quick - call some throws!

Opponents: Just keep applying pressure, we can cover receivers for the 1.5 seconds it takes for the pass rush to get home

Vikings: Oh No! They are defending our throws and our QB is utter sh1t in the pocket under pressure!

Opponents: Now get some turnovers boys!

Vikings: Oh No! They're getting turnovers!

Opponents: Alright guys, this game is almost in the bag. Look for them to try the run again.

Vikings: Zimmer says try the run again.

Repeat from beginning.

Vikings have $211.638 million in cap charges for 2020. Unless the salary cap skyrockets from $188.2 million this year by more than $23 million next year, the Vikings will have to trim layers of fat.

Next year Kirk Cousins will be 32 years old and make 31 M from the Minnesota Vikings...

Can't blame Kirk when the OLine was getting beat so easily. Not to mention zero run game to speak of.

The D played ok but they gave up the initiative right a way and gave up other key field tilting plays. And gifting them a fg in a defensive battle really hurt.

Cousins and the Oline were crap. No denying it but once again, Zimmer gets out coached and his antiquated system doesn't work. 2 comments that cement that in my mind from the game.

It's 2019 in a passing league, it's been setup and ref'd that way for years now and:

1. Romo - "It looks like football from the 70's, I love it!"
2. Nantz - "The Vikings are the only team in the NFL to have more rushing yards than passing"

What a clown show that was.

The book is out on Cousins. The smart teams will just stop our run gaps on the way to the qb knowing Kirk is just going to crap his pants, fumble, or roll out right and shrink the field making it an easy cover. When he does have some time he panics and has zero pocket presence. if I had a half decent team I would love to play against Cousins.

Player of the game? Hamm! Because if it's 3rd and 18 he rarely drops that 3 yard dump down. Solid, solid hands that guy has. Hamm!

Kyle Shanahan must have been a master OC for Skins to get what he got out of KFC those years and disguising his flaws enough to let Kirk build a nice stats resume and a solid 500 career...

Kirk owes some of those Skins coaches big time for allowing him to make it to this level and fleece his next team for his services... considering our coaching philosophy this year and what Kirk couldnt do with a hot young mind in DeFillippo last year Im just not sure what we can salvage from this experiment gone badly wrong...

We have to ride it out. For starters, we'll still kill any team that can't defend the run and/or is poor overall. From there it will be up to the coaches to figure out a way to move the ball against defenses that are good or better.

Watch Kirks presser following that shit show? rinse. repeat, depressing!

So I hear Kirk is leaving his beard grow out until he beats a winning team on the road or in front of national audience...

Expect full blown homeless look toward second half of season?

Definitely not, felt Ponder wasn't it fairly early.

Kirk isn't a guy that can withstand that type of pass rush because of his poor pocket presence and lack of mobility. I understand the offense is using play action to afford him more time but what can you do when the pocket collapses like that.

The early fumble that was negated by penalty was huge. This game was basically a carbon copy of last season's game.

Watching the game today really has me excited about watching Twins/Yankees.

I've always kind of backed Zimmer but watching a Bears' team with 5-6 starters out just dominate us has me resigned to expect a maybe .500 year.

I don't even like baseball and I agree with you. It sucks when you play a team that's decent and it's pretty much a certainty your team loses. Not much fun in that.

The boys never play well Soldier. The only time the Vikes can seem win there is when they're on their way to a division title and the Bears are headed for a lottery pick.

I agree with you Rob. However theres enough evidence I think in the last 20 games. We simply suck when we play teams with a pulse. This Giants game is going to be more interesting than I thought going into the year.

The Redskins are 0-4 and going no where, they have a star OL in Trent Williams that refuses to play there... Trade deadline is approaching...

Dreaming... but... I say...

Trade the Kirk Cousins and his 2019/2020 remaining contract and 2019 first round pick, 2020 Second round pick and conditional lower round for Case Keenum and Trent Williams!

They are going no where with Keenum and about to lose Williams for nothing... They could use the picks to build around a young starting QB and might just enjoy sticking it to Kirk another time around in owning him...

Then dump Mannion and give his contract/ place to Sloter...

I've got a different take. As I watched Chase Daniel carve us up, I couldn't help but think about how Chicago spent a fortune for him and he was benched for a 1st round pick in Trubisky. Now, obviously the jury is out on how good Trubisky will be, but the Bears ate the expensive contract on Daniel, kept him, and he has won a game when there is no pressure to be "the guy" against a supposedly good defense. Maybe Cousins would react the same way after being benched for our QBOTF.
