I have another MVP besides Ham (spelled his name wrong like only I can….). The punter. Dude actually does well but he should. He's had a lot of experience coming from Cleveland.

Dalvin Cook had 14 carries for 35 yards...

Kirk Cousins was 27 of 36 for 233 yards...

Adam Thielen had just two catches for six yards on the afternoon... Anyone, Anyone? Bueler?...

Zimmers presser after game was predictable same as always garble... no real accountability just take a look at things and get back to work...

Q- How did they shut down your running game? Zimm - I dont know... I will have to watch the film!

F'ing seriously he stands on sideline as head Mother F'er in charge and cant give an account of what happened to us in the running game today???

Answers over and over

I DONT KNOW... I DONT KNOW... hard for me to see... I DONT KNOW....

this is not acceptable...

AND where is the coach that was so damn tough on Case Keenum, even in wins putting him down and always on his ass... Cousins he dances around questions, tenderly avoids any criticism of the fragile QB...

I really can't wait for him to be gone. yeah I know there's always that chance the next guy could be worse. We will just have to keep looking until we get the right guy. Same with QB. We all know we are never winning anything with this guy guiding the ship.

We are wasting the best years of quality players careers on a stodgy old school coach and his rag tag group of has been cronies and relatives...

The best they can come up with for this years offense is a mantra of return to the 70s?

I thought it was sort of a fun thing they were having with the media when it worked to set up teams to thinking it was our main philosophy and then pull out some adjustments to teams shutting down the run and have answers... but sadly no...

Its a one trick dog and pony show... That 70's offense...

We fired a OC for less fail with better numbers and showing...

and the Defense? If thats a direct reflection of the head coaches strengths, I think we are in serious trouble round the office...

BUT YOU KNOW WHAT? They all look great in practice...

Maybe the next time we play a good run defense, we could go with 4 TE sets instead of 3.

Our football philosophy is just as bad as our QB play.

frustrating, but really not surprising

this bears team beat us with back ups last time, and did it again this time

i hate the dumb argument that the D prepared for Trubisky, so they were not ready for Daniels...

well, Daniels didnt prepare to play either

Yeah we cram everything together and then blame the line when they can't perfectly block a great defense that knows exactly what we are going to do. You're not even giving a chance to the line at that point.

The cameras almost tried not to capture it, but there was an element of the final couple games last year starting to show itself again today with frustration of players... Wide receivers yelling and pointing fingers, Kirk sitting all alone off to the side... This is not a healthy team and our HC has no answers...

Theilen is probably getting very frustrated by now. I remember him telling something like "its been there all day" when Kirk finally hit him in the Patriots game.

Where were the adjustments in game?

I watched several series in first quarter where Cook ran into two, even three guys in purple stacked up as lead blockers...

And it didnt change... We just kept running into the same coverage out of same formations for whole game?

I guess we were using the wear them down to open it up philosophy?

Next week the Giants with their 2-0 rookie QB Daniel Jones...

I think I even saw that was National game of week in slate of early games?

Was one of 8 wins I had on year for us before season started... now... not so confident...

This is true. The offensive philosophy is creating a cluster f at the line of scrimmage. I did find Kubiak's system wasn't the most flexible in his time with the Broncos, Ravens and Texans. Ideally if we had Kubiak's base with DeFilipo's passing concepts we may have something.

It so reminds me of another regime with a smug Col Klink as some called him... Childress at confrence after loss was asked multiple times why he kept running same plays that were not working with his Kick Ass offense... His final response was something like...well, we face this team twice a year and we didnt want to show too much right off!

About now Id take that regime/ schemes over this one and their "Lick Ass Offense" !

Not sure if it would have worked with Bear' speed on D but did we try a pitch out to Cook? Looked like all off tackle or up the middle.

Hughes getting healthier and Hill coming back.

Hmmm.

DeFilippo's offense ran the ball 38 times versus 33 passing attempts for 269 rushing yards and 213 passing yards in Jacksonville's win.

I guess if the running game is working, even Flip will find a reason to have "balance."

Maybe we just flat-out stunk running the ball last season?

Yep (on the falling apart).

I don’t believe we are going far with Zimmer and Cousins at the helm.

The Denver Mafia didn’t show well either, they waited way too long for the hurry up, instead doing the same crap over and over.

Might have been a different day without the Harris Hold, we will never know.

But I do know that we aren’t good enough (Zimmer and Cousins) to overcome a few bad breaks against a strong D like the Bears.

Two peas in a pod...

what's Zimmer's record against winning teams?

I looked it up. Including playoffs, the #Vikings are 13-27 (.325) against teams that had a winning record coming into the game.

I'm sure that number has gotten much worse in the last season plus 4 games.

From the standpoint of battles being won or lost before they’re fought, the Vikings lost this one before they ever took the field. That failure falls squarely on the shoulders of Mike Zimmer, who’s post-game comments were pretty lame as well- saying his team didn’t play well enough to win, commending the Bears for playing well, and offering little to suggest he’ll do anything different, or be better prepared in the future.

https://www.dailynorseman.com/2019/9/29/20890470/minnesota-vikings-out-coached-out-performed-by-chicago-bears-game-notes

Its getting so tiring seeing the Vikings D get schooled for entire first half before Zimmer makes any sort of in game adjustments to his over rated self inflated defensive ego...
