I’ve rewatched the game and here are my take aways:

• the Darius slayton touchdown was more on Harris than Rhodes. Harris bit hard on a crossers that was doubled.

• Vikes need to replace the left side of the line before they even think about drafting a QB

(Deshawn Vaughan on Twitter)

The Slayton TD was on Rhodes all the way. He failed to jam Slayton and then got turned around on not that great of a move. Harris was a bit late on the double team, but Rhodes got beaten badly right off the snap.

We all saw Zimmer chewing out Rhodes. It was a perfect pass and the receiver was fast. I don't pretend to know whose fault it was for a fact, but I thought it was on Rhodes.

Agreed. Hard to say what assignments were, Harris was turning to provide help to his left (twin right) immediately after the snap. Based on Zimmer's reaction, I also thought it was Rhodes.

Adam Thielen was the best player on the field in this game and it wasn’t particularly close.

Really? REALLY? I thought PFF actually watched the games.

You were probably too busy bitching about the fans to pay close attention to the game.

Still sore?

Not sore at all. That would be you. I was in the Game Day thread cheering the team on all game long.

They need to draft a QB next spring. Guy needs to be ready to take over in 2021.

Absolutely. I actually have no problem going with Cousins through his contract. But you MUST draft his successor this spring.

Thielen was very good, but Cook, Barr, Hunter, and Bailey could make a case they were better.

Cook was the best player on the field even with the 2 fumbles.

I would agree. PFF is clueless.

PFF must really dock players hard on fumbles.

220 yards from scrimmage is down right studly.

PA's partner was praising Kline multiple times. Yet Kline's PFF grade wasn't very good either.

It's more the way he did it you made some moves ran over some guys made a lot of those yards on his own

NEVER hire a Coordinator for a HC who calls all the plays.

That was the mistake with Childress.

Let's not relive that stupidity.

You are absolutely right David.

My own Kline grade was pretty low based on pass blocking. He gets pushed into Cousin's lap way too easily. It's really a stark contrast when the Vikings roll out on the play fake vs. using a straight drop. Cousins doesn't have the quickest drop back and the middle of the line does not hold off the inside pass rush for very long.

We expected Rudolph's role in the passing game to decrease with a shift to a more run-oriented attack, but where it's at right now is somewhat staggering. -- Courtney Cronin

"...this game plan had a lot more “Kubiak” plays, as far as I could tell, compared to “Stefanski” plays, particularly in the passing game. The screens and rollouts with multiple crossing routes are vintage Kubiak, and the Vikings ran a steady diet of them the entire game."

A fumble near the goal-line is the worst possible event in an 'expected-points / expected value' type of analysis.
