You can make every excuse you can find, but you have not explained the huge difference in why our COVID death rate has been so much higher than ALL of our neighbors.

I will let all this rest if you just acknowledge that you understand one thing is not debatable: the Minnesota COVID number of deaths per infection is substantially higher than all of our neighbors and that seems unlikely to have happened without some sort of cause.

Did you even read the article I posted? It explains quite clearly that Minnesota's death total is higher because they test and report cases that other states don't. It stands to reason that if tests facilities that other states don't, they will have more reported covid deaths. In other words, there are a lot of deaths not attributed to covid in other states because they didn't test for it.

We are cashing in. Drug overdose counted as a covid death.

There is $$$ in covid deaths.

I really surprised Trump hasn't cut off this $ for covid deaths.

We'd probably start getting a lot more accurate statistics about the deaths.

It isn't just Minnesota. It's everywhere.

Hospitals/Doctors trying to stay afloat with all the regular patients(elective surgeries, yearly checkups, etc...) they lost.

Right. But why not give them aid in some other package rather than having it linked with covid deaths?

Politics

If it's all politics, answer me these two questions.

When was the last time New York City had to bring in freezer trucks to pile the rows of dead bodies from heart attacks, pneumonia, flu-like symptoms and the likes? That's of course, provided you are still trying to say that the COVID death numbers are way overblown.

If it's all politics, why is it happening all around the world? Those Democrats certainly seem to have a lot of power around the globe.

After six months one would think there would be enough proof that a global pandemic is something to be concerned about. Yet, there is still some of you that want to listen to an administration that has botched this thing from the beginning.

At this point, as a nation, we only have ourselves to blame.

COVID-19 is a hoax that infringes on my freedom to not sacrifice so I'm tired of it and the bastard liberal hospitals and doctors profiting off false numbers while the communist left keeps the country closed. This terrible situation is going to be a reality if Biden gets elected so vote twice.

Didn't say way overblown. Just somewhat higher than what it is.

If you don't believe me, the Surgeon General said as much when he said in a Press Conference that he was concerned about some places linking everything to Covid for the $$$.

The Surgeon General right now has very little credibility. He's nothing but a pawn for the president.

For the first time in my memory - basically all of those positions that used to be non-political are now acting as political mouthpieces for the president. The CDC Director, the Attorney General, the Director of National Security ... Trump has hired his cronies and corrupted all of them.

Here's the thing that non-riders don't understand. Were different from you. We ride at night knowing that if a deer jumps put in front of us, well that's a problem. For those in a 4 wheeled cage, for the most part that's a problem for the deer. Hopefully we are able to get out of that situation unscathed. MOST times that's the case. Our approach to life essentially involves risks that most/many ensure that they filter out of their lives. It's not like suddenly based on a virus that kills 1 in about 20000 people, we're going to stop riding, we are way less concerned about COVID than we are about a deer jumping out in front of us.

Seems to me that during a global pandemic that has killed over 925,000 people around the globe, that cronies may want to drop the partisan politics and try and protect their own people. Maybe my expectations are too high.

So the difference is they don't care about anyone else?

And because they take risks, everyone around them needs to take the same risks - even if they're unaware of it?

Nice.

You want me in my four-wheeled cage to look out for you on the road right? You would expect that I take care to be alert and START SEEING MOTORCYCLES? Lucky for you I do just that. It takes just a tiny bit of effort and benefits everyone. So maybe in return (or just for the sake of being a good and responsible human) you could pay a little attention to a pandemic that is out of control even if the odds of dying are small?

Agreed, you are way less concerned about hurting or killing people affected by spreading a deadly virus. Good on ya!

Don't you remember the Deer Massacre of 1986? Someone took out a deer on the way to a wedding, and within a month, the entire wedding party had been mauled by deer.

The part with the deer in the noble Braveheart motorcycle story is loosely analogous to hearing gomers (including the moron in charge) say cars kill XXX people every year and you don't see driving being banned. Each ignores the essence of COVID... it's CONTAGIOUS.

Here’s the thing about us non-riders.

We already have a set between our legs.

Bullcrap. There is a HUGE difference between bringing in corrupt people and bringing in experienced, trained, intelligent and mature people who are there because they are interested in public service and doing well for their country.

You can't possibly think, with your own selective memory, that anyone else other than Richard Nixon has ever brought in an Attorney General who has less intention of serving the public than Donald Trump with his hiring of Bill Barr.

I have no issues with bike riders. I always thought it looked kind of fun. The problem was, every person I ever knew that had one tipped it at some point and had injuries as a result, sometimes severe. I guess I was always kind of fearful of that.

Now I just find Harley's going down the road as annoying. Noise pollution of sorts.

If you want to takes risks with your life on your bike, or rock climbing, sky jumping, whatever... be my guest. However you do that in a way that only endangers you. Not everyone around you. If you drive like a moron on a busy freeway and cause a massive accident, that is not OK. Same thing with getting the virus and spreading it to everyone around you. Dumb. Don't let bravery and bravado get in the way of doing the right thing, the smart thing, for yourself and everyone you come in contact with.

The longer people act like this the longer it will take for things to open up more fully. They are causing it to be prolonged.

Wisconsin's COVID numbers are higher than they have ever been right now. Nearly 2,300 new cases today. Had 2,500 yesterday.

I think you guys should head down to your local biker bar and storm in there and tell these scum bags everything you've been preaching here.

Don't hold back either, give it to em with both barrels.
