The Thunder are as good of a team as anyone. They have one of the top 2 players in the NBA and our very well coached.
I expect Denver to rebound and play much better, but the Thunder are big problem.

If I were a betting man it will be the Thunder vs Pacers in the finals with OKC hoisting the trophy.

The Wolves and Celtics are just way to inconsistent to survive IMO.

The Mavs just happen to win the lottery with less than a 2% chance the year they hand the Lakers Luka for peanuts?

Eh, did anyone predict it beforehand? If so, I’m impressed. Otherwise, whatever. Shit happens.

All these draft conspiracy theories seem to get made after the draft. Then it’s “Oh sure. Not surprised”. But how many more times did the pick not make a juicy conspiracy story and people forget about it?

What was the story behind the Wolves getting the KAT and Edwards picks?

Yeah. I haven't seen an official word on that, but I'm positive that's what happened. Non-contact injury. And his reaction wasn't one of "I'm in physical pain," but more so "My season is over and I got a long road of rehab coming," from what I saw. Shame.

Pretty much everyone...

And its not a new thing.

CLE loses LeBron, gets Kyrie.
NOP loses AD, gets Zion.
MIN loses Love, gets KAT.
DAL loses Luka, gets Flagg.

I thought after the "frozen envelope" lottery the NBA hired some law firm to oversee it due to the lost credibility. Either that was a lie or the law firm has been paid off.

Teams leading by at least 14 points in the final 2:45 of the fourth quarter had been 994-0 since detailed play-by-play began being kept in 1997-98.

Looks like the Knicks will have to start shopping in a different aisle, since the Wolves, Rockets and Mavs have now shut the door on aiding their coaching search.

The Knicks will delay naming their next head coach, until they've had the opportunity to be denied permission by OKC and Indiana to speak to their coaches.

This shit gets funnier and funnier.

The New York Knicks have reached out to the teams of two more head coaches they are interested in hiring for their head coaching jobs and were denied as they were previously for Jason Kidd, Ime Udoka and Chris Finch.

The Knicks reached out to the Atlanta Hawks to speak with Quin Snyder, but were firmly denied, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.

According to K.C. Johnson of NBC Chicago, the Chicago Bulls denied the Knicks permission to speak with Billy Donovan. The Bulls continue to highly value Donovan.

Why wouldn't they just hire someone that's not currently an NBA head coach? Are they that lazy?

It's not even clear the Knicks have actually reached out directly to any unemployed coach. It's becoming comical, and you wonder how far any of these conversations go, since the Knicks have a bare cupboard relative to draft capital. I'm curious to see where the Knicks will draw the line in their attempt to coach poach. Clearly, they didn't bother with Kerr, Spoelstra, Mazzulla. Who do we think is next, before being told "no" again and simply singing Jenkins?

Maybe they can get Jeff Van Gundy back from the Clippers.

Saddle him with Mark Jackson as co-coach!

Or not even unemployed coaches. How about the top NBA assistant coaches?

Honestly, its becoming clear that Thibs was canned because his players bitched. They must have all gone to management and said "we could have won it all if we weren't so effing burned out!"

The Knicks seem ok with letting their coach go, so long as they can replace him with someone who won't burn out his starters.

Holy shit...

Shams Charania:
