ORIGINAL: Elliot It's not even clear the Knicks have actually reached out directly to any unemployed coach. It's becoming comical, and you wonder how far any of these conversations go, since the Knicks have a bare cupboard relative to draft capital. I'm curious to see where the Knicks will draw the line in their attempt to coach poach. Clearly, they didn't bother with Kerr, Spoelstra, Mazzulla. Who do we think is next, before being told "no" again and simply singing Jenkins? Or not even unemployed coaches. How about the top NBA assistant coaches? Honestly, its becoming clear that Thibs was canned because his players bitched. They must have all gone to management and said "we could have won it all if we weren't so effing burned out!" The Knicks seem ok with letting their coach go, so long as they can replace him with someone who won't burn out his starters.
