There are a half dozen guards I would be ok with tomorrow.

I would hope cleveland is moved to LG and takes a big step forward in pass blocking.

Pass rusher will be the top priority tomorrow. Zimmer will make sure of that.

Question is when we will make move to get into 2nd Round?

Tell you what, Darrisaw looked really good in his highlights...very mobile, no sacks or pressures last year....he may be really good in our zone blocking scheme! I'm just happy we addressed OL!!!

I knew it was an offensive player before the pick was announced.

Did you notice Zimmer standing in the war room with his arms folded looking disinterested?

Staying put in the 3rd round.

Moving all 4 picks from the 4th round, to get 2 more 3rds, so the Vikes would then have 6 3rd rounders

Well CBS board had him rated at 14, the Vikings original slot. And the Vikings got him, a position of need, plus other picks besides. So good move I guess.

The 2 consensus big boards I posted earlier today had Darrisaw at 14 & 15.

CBS gives the pick an A: “I love this pick. I believe he will be the best tackle in the draft. It fills a need in a big way”

I think RS lucked out, on paper anyway, But he dug the hole in the first place trading the 2nd rounder.

Very true. If RS hadn’t traded that pick, perhaps he would have traded one of our thirds this year to move UP 2 spots and draft Slater instead of drafting down and getting a lesser player because he’s so desperate for more picks.

I see Ezra as a blown pick but like we got a LT since it is a premium position.

A good move to trade down after Slater fell.

I am guessing the Vikes wanted Darrisaw, and were sorta lucky a couple teams right before them with OL needs, passed on him.

Is it the old idiot giving the grade? Pete Priscoe I think.

Hey grumps/gramps, why don't you wait and see what he does with those picks.

And I'd rather we have Darrisaw and two thirds vs Slater and a lost third, mainly because I can't discern that great a difference. I like the net of three 3rds.

Better to own the 3rd than the 7th.

Yup. moving down that far was a gamble ... for the players I liked anyway.

I just hope we can find a trade partner high enough into the 2nd to grab someone good to help today’s wrist-slashers heal.

A g or edge player.

Nice job Kgdabom, picking Darrisaw.

I hope to catch you tomorrow, I picked 4 players that were projected 3rd rounders, not knowing the Vikes would be getting 4 3rd round picks, lol.

Looks like Newsome II should have gone to Green Bay for how handsy he is in his highlights

I’m just sticking around to see where Rashod Bateman goes now. I originally thought he’d be a good GB pick to make Rodgers happy. But now that Rodgers has spurned them they probably don’t care what he wants.
