Hope GB picks a non-WR.

That'll set off Erin's PMS.

I think RS lucked out, on paper anyway, But he dug the hole in the first place trading the 2nd rounder.

Yup. moving down that far was a gamble ... for the players I liked anyway.

I just hope we can find a trade partner high enough into the 2nd to grab someone good to help today’s wrist-slashers heal.

A g or edge player.

Davis, Banks, Trey Smith, Meinerz, Carmen, Brown, Cleveland are guard options. Odds are several are still there by mid-round.

I hope Bateman doesn't go GB.

That Linebacker with the really long name Koramoah is probably right there with Darrisaw as the falling draft pick. I'd love to get him also.

Because of COVID, some article said after the first half round or so it's going to be the wild west, with selections all over the place.

I’m just sticking around to see where Rashod Bateman goes now. I originally thought he’d be a good GB pick to make Rodgers happy. But now that Rodgers has spurned them they probably don’t care what he wants.

And there he goes. To the Ravens

Well CBS board had him rated at 14, the Vikings original slot. And the Vikings got him, a position of need, plus other picks besides. So good move I guess.

The 2 consensus big boards I posted earlier today had Darrisaw at 14 & 15.

CBS gives the pick an A: “I love this pick. I believe he will be the best tackle in the draft. It fills a need in a big way”

Is it the old idiot giving the grade? Pete Priscoe I think.

Haha yeah. I purposely left his name out. Why you gotta rain on our parade?

I put the chances of Priscoe being right about anything at about 5%.

I was declaring Bateman a first round pick and somebody else here was saying 3rd. I'm on a minor roll here.

We have enough 3rd round picks now to take a QB of the future. That should be the sweet spot to get one with good potential like Mills.

Very true. If RS hadn’t traded that pick, perhaps he would have traded one of our thirds this year to move UP 2 spots and draft Slater instead of drafting down and getting a lesser player because he’s so desperate for more picks.

Hey grumps/gramps, why don't you wait and see what he does with those picks.

And I'd rather we have Darrisaw and two thirds vs Slater and a lost third, mainly because I can't discern that great a difference. I like the net of three 3rds.

LOL! Every year we’re in the same position when it comes to RS and his draft “strategy” and every year some posters urge that we “wait and see” what RS has up his sleeve before passing judgement. And every year we end up with an oline that stinks... I hope that this is the year Spielman fixes the line once and for all, which is how I felt last year, and the year before that, and the year before that, but at this point I have zero confidence in his abilities as a GM when it comes to drafting for the oline. The smart move was to move up and get the guy that the experts predict will be a pro bowl fixture for the next 10 years. Regardless, at least he picked an offensive linemen. The question is, does he think his work is done, or will he actually devote more than a couple of later round picks to continue building the oline?

And every year you bitch during the draft, except this year you've outdone yourself as far as timeliness.

It's notable though you bitched about the OL well before kgbum.

I like him too, but best tackle in the draft would carry more weight with me if it were anybody other than Priscoe.

Green Bay’s corner might turn out to be awesome as far as I know yet I still snicker that they took him. I wonder if there have been legendary fights between Rodgers and staff.

What do you think of Minneapolis native Elerson Smith?

Played at Northern Iowa. Gaudy stats. Tall, fast and athletic. 6'6" 41" vertical, 26 reps.

Needs some weight though.

We've got 10 pretty good options for guard and DE tomorrow. Trade up and skip day 3.
