I confess ... if I were going to reach for OL

I'd be tempted by Hasan's boy Ben Cleveland. B-r-u-t-e power.

I could see him snapping Ezra's limbs just for a chance to start.

I think he'll be there for our mid-round picks.

One of the presumed next three QBs Mills, Trask or Mond will be available at 66. If one stands out to us maybe trade up. I would rather trade up for an edge.

We're actually getting close to our pick. The longer we wait the less it costs to move up.

Well you weren't getting the Jets 34 in a trade and therefore, presumably, the same player with less draft stock to try and move up...so if thats a win...nothing vs something...all the more power to you.

We would have taken Darrisaw at 14. Instead we got him at 23 plus 2 third round picks. One of them the 2nd pick in the round and Daniel can't see how that's a win. It's mind boggling.

It’s not a win...

It doesn’t take a genius to see that having muliple picks in round 3 and 4 is far worse than packaging that CRAP, with 14 to get a lower first and recoup a second...

The fact that you do not see that, is not surprising at all...

How’s your linebacker board looking now?

the three I had any interest in are all taken. Did these guys do your sister or something. Your despising them so much is very strange. Barr is gone after this year. If we can get a great one to replace him for a good value to me that's a win.

Barr was “ gone” last season..

Kendricks loss hurt more..

I’d trade Barr in a heartbeat for the jets third rounder..

He is past his expiration/ cap value date.

Agree with a trade up for edge

Perkins or Basham?

Basham just for his name alone.

So Barr sucks, but you hate the very idea of drafting a LB with a passion. WTF.

There's about 74 'best available' before Cleveland.... lol

I will bide my time.

For the 15th time...

Linebacker is at the bottom of need list..

Every other position has more priority..

Kicker is a bigger need..
QBOTF is a bigger need..

A god damn strong interior guard is a waaaaaay bigger need...

Capeesh?

Nope no Capeeshing. Sure a strong guard is a bigger need. If the value is equal take the guard. However, we have one NFL calibre starting LB. That isn't enough. I don't know where you get the idea that one LB is enough.

It's reaching the point where trading up from 66 no longer makes sense - which probably means it wasn't wise all along. Trading up from 78 now though... might be a different story.

Capisco the need for a guard. But who is worth a high third round pick? Meinerz or Humphrey? Or someone else?

That kind of thinking leads to the Herschel Walker trade. How did that work out?

The worst place for a battle for the last word is in a realtime thread. Accept it for what it is, let go, and move on please.

There's still Meinerz and Wyatt Davis for guards, plenty of QBs, and some DEs. I'm getting nervous now though.

Had the Vikings reached for someone, I would have disliked the trade. But they got what I think will be a great player at a position of need, AND picked up 2 3rds.

I LOVED that trade !!!

Yes they didn't get a 2nd, that to me would have been slightly better, but not if they made a bad pick with the 2nd rounder.

2 3rds is the same value as a 2nd, and I think they'll probably pick a good, or even great player with one of them. One will likely be a bust.

It's not like they got 2 6th round picks, 2 3rds could be nice, plenty of talent still out there.

I think Koramoah would have been a great addition.
