OL dropping like Flies. Jenkins also gone.

Jenkins is RT only ... well, for the other 31 teams.

The last thing we need is a pure OT at this point.

Some article said he was the regimes backup plan (in a trade down?) if Darrisaw was picked.

I’m so done with Spielman

He’s an idiot..

What egregious act did he commit now? Didn't trade up for somebody you wanted?

What do you care, mr linebacker university...

We have no second round pick...
None, yet..

Who wants to trade with us?

No one..

He gave up 14 for 23, hording 3rd round picks like some bag lady...

If you don’t have the chops to pick winners in the top of the first round, you have no business being a team GM.

**** him...

And...

When you trade #14 for a bottom third, #23 pick and DON’T recoup a second round pick as compensation, you got played...

Heard that.

I cringed.

I have a feeling if we were to draft an OT and IOL in rds 2-4 our 'brain trust' would put the IOL behind Cleveland and stick the OT at LG.

We're about as sharp as a marble.

He picked an OL that, based on all the info we have, could have gone 14. And a OT at that. Not necessarily a Darrisaw fan and sure he could have been overrated, but sometimes guys slip through. IMO like Rhodes and Sharrif Floyd.

Will we use some draft capital and move into the mid-late second?

While I want them to pick OL, they have no business picking OL. Go find the best draft guru and use his picks.

Every breakdown I saw had us coming out the winner in the trade with the Jets.

I agree with DLY that rick got played on the return. Regardless of the point value, the Jets keeping their 2nd is why I was upset last night (and still annoyed today).

But I'm not throwing in the towel on the draft. Could still turn out pretty well (even though Moering just got picked).

I kind of want a DE at this point. Or a QB.

We needed a second, not more thirds...

No excuses.

So is he holding, trying to move up and being rejected (assuming fair offer or offers), or waiting to move up later in the round?

Not throwing in the towel yet?!

We got a guy some thought was a steal at 14 and added 2 3rd round picks.

Even if that was just ok (its better) it's ok to be ok!

I'm happy with the Darrisaw pick as is ... drafting a LT to play LT is rarefied air for us. The last two, O'Neill and Cleveland haven't sniffed LT.

However, if we use the third rounders from the trade to move back ... that dilutes the deal for me.

I hope Darrisaw turns out to be a stud.

IMO - ONeil and Cleveland not sniffing LT has more to do with Reiff and coaching than it being a reflection on their ability to play LT. This is the same coaching that thought Elf could be a good C, LG, and RG.

Not many guards protected to come off the board this round.

Then sit tight for them!

Does Spielman even know what a guard is or does?
