The Vikings got through last season with none of them vaccinated. Seems like a good chance they can manage this season with none of them vaccinated.

There was no Delta variant last year. Mond just got Covid. No way they make it this year unless they get 90%+ of the team vaccinated, especially the starters.

Unvaccinated, the average person infects 5-8 people. That's what R=5 to R=8 means (reproductive number).

For Delta strain ONLY, early reports suggested that vaccinated people had similar viral loads, which suggested that they might transmit the virus at a similar rate, however, even those reports had the virus clearing faster. And the study had some other issues, like a cutoff for people with low viral counts, which sort of guarantees that the viral counts will be similar, and it wasn't randomized. But a big study just came out of England in the last couple days, randomized, and showed vaccinated people had markedly lower viral counts. Core take away:

Vaccination almost certainly cuts the chances you spread the Delta strain.
