This is the one that will forever hurt the most. The stars aligned for the Vikings to take this perfect fit for their team, not only from a player standpoint, but from how huge of a star he would’ve become in the Twin Cities. Instead, they passed on him for an alleged felon.

Antoine Winfield Jr. was meant to play in Minnesota and for the Vikings. He grew up watching his dad play for the Purple for many years and then he attended college at the University of Minnesota. He was a star there despite being undersized. He routinely made highlight-reel plays and showed up in the biggest moments. Prior to the draft, he made it well known that he would have loved to play for the Vikings.

He was still available when Minnesota was on the clock, and the crew from ESPN even showed his living room while the team was making its decision.

The Vikings ultimately took Jeff Gladney and missed out on a very productive rookie season from Winfield. In 2020, he racked up 94 tackles, three sacks, and one interception for the Tampa Bay

Status: offline 		There is a mountain of facts and studies readily available to anyone who wants to take the time to look at them. They all say that Pfizer and Moderna are still very effective against Delta. Not quite as effective at preventing it as the other strains, but still very effective and will significantly reduce the ordeal if you do catch the Delta variant. The decision to get vaccinated shouldn't be a tough one.

Why people choose not to get vaccinated is a bit more complex. I suspect that a lot of it has to do with the obscene amount of misinformation that is being spread by the anit-vax groups. For example, I have a niece who refuses to get vaccinated because she wants to have to have children and is afraid that the vaccine will keep her from getting pregnant. There is overwhelming evidence to the contrary, but she is too afraid after being bombarded with false information. Some refuse because the FDA hasn't fully approved it yet. They ignore that the data is already gathered and the final panel approval is a formality at this point. Others refuse out of misguided political loyalty and still others continue to believe that covid is a hoax.

It will protect you from getting killed by it. But you will pass it to 9 or 10 people, and of those 9 or 10, it will kill those who are not vaccinated.

So the vaccination for COVID is close to worthless for the Delta Variant. Ouch.

If by worthless, you mean it will keep you from getting really sick and dying, then yes.
If the bolded above that you told me is 100% accurate then it may not be completely worthless, but it will be kind of worthless if I'm still going to pass it on to 9 or 10 people possibly killing them. It might be better if it just kills me quick preventing me from passing it on to so many others. My life isn't that important. Or am I doomed to pass it on to 9 or 10 people either way?

You've followed this through to its logical climax.


If "logical climax" means total idiocy.

Bottom line. Get vaccinated. Full stop. It's the ONLY thing that makes sense.

You take a normal covid test. After that they do genomic sequencing. At this point the Delta variant makes up well over 80% of all infections in the US, so anyone would be wise to assume that if they were to get infected, it would be with the Delta variant.

And yes, anyone can do a Google search. That's kind of the point. The information is out there and it is accessible to anyone who takes the time to look it up and educate themselves. If you don't trust the first thing you read then read some more. Look at the reference material that is used. It really isn't that hard and it will better prepare you than poo pooing what other people have taken the time to do.

The collective group of experts in the fields of medicine and biochemistry have put out the best possible information and continue to work on the ever-evolving world of disease and vaccine with the mission to stop the pandemic and be prepared for future ones as well - or - there are multiple conspiracies running amok.

Are there side-effects that are sometimes but rarely serious? You bet. Does that discredit the need for all who can to get vaccinated? Nope.

You know what else had nasty side effects? Storming the beaches of Normandy. I'm grateful that the people of that time period were able to find the courage to overcome their fear and stop the Nazis.

Do you know why helpful information comes up on top of the google searches? Because it's mostly good and reliable information. I don't need to reach page 26 before I find an "expert" that shares my pre-formed opinion on the subject. Heck, I bet if I asked enough doctors I could find one that would tell me that smoking won't hurt me.

Lastly, if Trump would just have taken a real leadership role from the beginning we'd already be out of this mess. Instead he did the opposite and actively tried to play down the significance - because he's a god damned coward and doesn't have an honest bone in his body. Why won't people get vaccinated? Because a great big bunch of them think they're being good MAGAs by following the fat orange dipshit's lead. In short - because they are dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb, DUMB, DUMB, DUMB, MIND-NUMBINGLY DUMB!

Here is the fatal flaw in your argument. There has been no critical thinking from the other perspective. Just a lot of misinformation about mercury, aluminum, deformed babies, etc. When the other side presents something that is actually the result of critical thought and research, I will consider it.

If anything, I am hoping, very vehemently, that people who wallow in the Petrie Dish of antivaxxers and “ my body, my choice” get paid a visit from a mindless virus, that doesn’t care what their opinion is, or how much Jesus loves them…

You want to deny medical fact, science, and actual data..

I gave you an article for all five of your questions in your original post that were from reputable sources. What have you provided so far? I can’t peel back the curtain if you don’t show me the curtain. Put something out here for me to read - preferably not from page 26 or the 56th doctor. Something reputable.

Nope. I’m NOT afraid of the vaccine and I’m willing to take some risks for the betterment of society. I’m NOT afraid of making some personal sacrifice for the good of others.
