Mond isn't getting the benefit of Theilen and JJ, which could change EVERYTHING.

I wish the NFL would have partnered with the XFL or one of the other leagues (that failed) and had a system in place for NFL teams to allocate some players.

Kurt Warner is a HOF QB only because he got a chance to develop/prove himself in Arena league and NFL Europe.

i like what I've seen from mond...with the first team he'll develop just fine...he's got a quick release and a rifle of an arm, gets rid of the ball quickly, and doesn't take sacks...also, he throws to, and hits moving targets....

if cousins doesn't produce this season let's figure out a way to trade him and move on with mond....

sign fitzgerald
sign sendejo
sign kj wright (i wanted this guy a couple of years ago)

I don’t see it, yet. Just because Mond has some draftable qualities … there’s a long way to go to figure out if he is starting caliber, much less a good starter. At the very least, one more offseason - TC - preseason just to get a little better handle on him. Unless he’s pressed into service this season because of injury … he hasn’t shown nearly enough to throw the franchise at him next year. No way.

Would love to sign Wright but unless Barr is a Hunter (or Barr) situation from last year unfolding … can’t see us spending enough to keep him from rejoining the Seahawks.

also, mond has great pocket awareness and mobility...i think that he'll be ready to make a run at leading the offense next season....

the only way to develop him is to run him at full speed with the starting offense...i think he'll be ready to take that step next season....

somehow this barr thing gives me a 'strung out, gone for the season' feeling...wright almost signed with the raiders a few weeks back....

If Mond can connect with Beebe in rhythm I have no doubt he can connect with others....just is who he practices with.

Everson Griffen signed with the Vikings for the vet minimum of just $1,075,000. It is not guaranteed and if he goes on injured reserve he only gets half. Talk about team friendly.

it looks like pierce is giving griffen the #97...apparently, there are like 90 pre-printed 'pierce' jerseys with #97 that the equipment manager is dealing with...they're going to sell them as collector's items and donate the money to 'kirk cousins is ass', a non-profit anti-vaccination support group....

Put Mond in with some 1st teamers...I remember seeing Dante sit the first year and show zilch....teamed him up with CC and Moss; no issues.

You mean the Daunte picked #11 in the first round of the draft who started year 2 for offensive minded coach Dennis Green with 2 HOF WRs RB Smith and an OL that had Steussie Birk Dixon Stringer?

Insert Mond next year because Culpepper was good in his second year? I'm sure the next comparison will be 3rd rounder Russell Wilson ... if he can do it Mond can.

It doesn't have anything to do with how Mond plays or practices or the specific situation he'd be in?

What are the chances that a 3rd rounder is going to be any good ... much less usurp an above avg QB that, unfortunately, the regime has tied the financial stability of the franchise and their jobs to?

I truly hope Mond defies the odds but he has to do that on merit, not just because lightning has struck there before.

Will Parks’ name has come up with the #Vikings before, and now that he’s back on the open market, he’s a candidate to land in Minnesota, per a league source. Vikings might need safety depth and special teams contributions with Xavier Woods and Josh Metellus banged up.

Do Smith, Thielen, and Richardson have a non-profit we can donate to as well?

Get it done.

Metellus and Dorn were not good against Indy.

Bynum not good either but give the rookie some time.

Not a bad idea.

I was shocked to see he is only 32.

I guess we had OT Roderick Johnson(Texans) in for a workout.

What would be the over/under on 15yarders?

Isn't he like one or two 15 yarders away from a multiple game suspension with all of his previous bad hits?

I'd be more concerned with him taking out yet another teammate with one of his dirty hits.

I think he is up to three different teams on which he has taken out teammates.

In three preseason games, our quarterbacks have thrown exactly 0 touchdown passes. Someone forgot to tell our staff it was a passing league.

Yikes! The offensive line still feels very problematic going into this season.

Zimmer's still playing 1970's football with the Power I as our #1 formation on first and second down.

We did have guys who combined for 4500 yards and 40 TDs wearing baseball caps last night.

But, we do seem a step slower than KC and Denver. Even against their backups.

What's with these Diggs players?

RENTON, Wash. -- The Seattle Seahawks are dealing with another hold-in situation, this time with Pro Bowl safety Quandre Diggs.

Multiple sources have told ESPN that Diggs, entering the last year of his deal, has been seeking an extension from the Seahawks this offseason. He's healthy but has not practiced this week, instead watching from the sideline.

"I think he's making a bit of a statement now, but I have nothing for you to update," coach Pete Carroll said Friday. "He deserves to do that."

The team just looks rigid out there.

Denver and KC were running around like they had already digested and passed the learning part of it ...

we look like we're running around out there with bowel problems - still trying to digest and figure things out. I guess its not a huge surprise given all the new veterans, starters and coaches, and that we seem to be holding out a few more key players than other teams. It's frustrating but you could almost predict it.

That being said, as much as Zimmer annoys me, I agree with what he said in his presser that the really scary thing is the lack of urgency. We got bullied last night during the part of the game that mattered.

Also, we haven't even gotten started and Cousins is already going to drive me insane if he doesn't open it up a bit. After the game, he stated that coming away with [three] points 'felt good.' Really, a field goal was the highlight of your preseason.

Half the time when I watch him play - or - when I don't watch him play but listen to the posters in here that champion his great stats ... I think that it's not his fault that he lacks success ... its just a bad OL or playcalling or some other exterior factor. Then I watch him play - even a meaningless preseason game - and it stands out how quickly he reverts to a safe completion with no impact over a riskier attempt down the field that might extend a drive or gauge a defense. He's the poster boy for taking what a defense gives you.

Anyhoo – should be interesting cutdowns to 53 plus the back of roster tampering with rejects from other teams.
