Rudolph 2 years 16 million. Wow.

spotrac has it at 2 yrs $12M with $4.5M guaranteed. His cap hit in 2021 will be $4.75M.

You come up with 3 games where KC did ok, not great, in building a lead at halftime [ignoring all the times he didn't do so well in the 1st half]. So in those 3 games you listed, he helped the OL, and took less of a beating in the 2nd half of those games.

But he also didn't make enough plays in the 2nd half of those games to win. You're putting it all on the playcalling and supporting cast.

You didn't really prove anything, nor did you refute any of the points I was making.

Some people are knocking Brad, but I think he is right on about Cousins, until, or unless proven otherwise.

The problem with Cutler and Cousins, is they many times don't react quickly to plays that are breaking down.

Their passes [or their "quick" movements just before they throw] are sometimes not AHEAD of the defense, they're just a tad behind.

Prove anything?

That's rich coming from you.

I haven't ignored ANY of Cousins flaws. You ignore a plethora of previous posts. And keep blathering on with the same old talking points.

Lamp would be a best case scenario before the draft. A starting G that could swing out to T in an emergency. Draft a G/C type early enough and your OL would look easily more promising than anything we have fielded in the Zimmer years. (not saying much ... but still).

I would gladly eat every criticism I have showered on Spielman this free agency.

Be interesting to see where he goes/cost/and how he performs in 2021. Might have been a cheaper alternative than Tomlinson (and I like the tomlinson signing).

i wonder what's happening with the orlando brown deal, and would it have been more practical to just extend/restructure reiff considering what the bengals are paying him....

Field Yates@FieldYates
The Bengals deal with Riley Reiff is for one year and is worth $7.5M, with $5.5M guaranteed, per source.

Reiff made clear today that the team told him he’d be playing right tackle. A quality addition for his play and his mentorship along a young OL.

If the Dozier thing was real, there would be more posts by now.

Chris Tomasson@christomasson
Source said the #Vikings are one of the teams that free-agent guard Forrest Lamp is looking at. Lamp started all 16 games last season for the Los Angeles Chargers. And, yes, the Vikings indeed do need at least one guard (maybe two if Ezra Cleveland moves to left tackle).

Don't worry fellas

[Vikings Central] Dakota Dozier signs a 3 year $12M deal for the Vikings.

Whew. Next shoe to drop would be a Samia extension worth 15 mil per year.

And I would be saying it only hurts when I laugh.

I initially wasn't a fan of this signing, but now that Jeff says it's horrible, I feel like it could work out.

Then you'll be wrong again.

This from a guy who actually thinks Kirk Cousins is a franchise QB. You best stick to baseball.

Never said that, dumbass. And don't stay too long at the keyboard, your mom probably wants to come down to the basement and change your sheets.

Ah, so you argue with Brad, telling him he's Top 8 in the league and then you deny saying it. Franchise QB...how many do you think there is? Either you like Cousins or you see that he's ASS and his garbage stats don't matter at all. This genius likes it both ways.

Like I said...stick to thinking you're clever by making up third grade nicknames about baseball players. You are just so funny when you do that. Better than making a fool of yourself over here.

Brady, Mahomes, Watson, Rogers,... those guys are elite and franchise QB's. They carry teams on their backs. There are only a handful of them. I said many times Cousins is not in their class. He's a good starting QB who needs a good team around him. Maybe you should take some classes to help your reading comprehension.

Better yet, do what you do best. Go back under your little bridge and wait for the Vikings to sign somebody else so you can pop out and tell everyone how stupid they are for liking it. Then you go back into hiding until the draft and then pop out again to tell everyone how stupid they are for having an opinion on a draft pick. That's been the sum total of your contribution this forum since its inception.

Pager, there really was no reason for me to be combative, sorry. I should have just thanked you for reinforcing my point.

Jay Cutler + about 20 IQ points = Kirk Cousins

i cannot believe that spielman didn't sign off on those numbers...he could have easily lowered them with a signing bonus and three-year deals....

We are on the outside looking in, so we don't know all the whys and wherefores of how the decisions came down to not keeping Reiff or Harris. We might gain more insight after all is said and done, but when we look at what happened in Chicago we certainly can question whether each personnel decision was wise.

That's flat out stupid. Harris 5ml cheaper than Patrick Peterson.

Losing your best olineman on a 27th ranked oline is also foolish.

Just look how it played out with Harris.

We made a push to keep him. He refused our offer. We went and signed Peterson(8M, not 10M as 1st reported).

Harris fires his agent. Rosenhaus gets him a low one year deal in Philly.

It looks to me like Harris' first agent misjudged the market for him. I'm guessing we offered 5 per or better and they thought he(Harris) was a 10M a year guy.

I'm going to hold off criticizing OLine moves until we are done. Although our track record is poor.

Maybe come May we are looking at a Brown Jr./Vera Tucker/Bradbury/ Cleveland/O'Neill Oline with subs Hill, Udoh, Lamp, Hinton.

i hadn't heard about harris and the problem with his agent...that's really too bad - he's come a long way with his career, and financially, these next two years are critical for him....
