Sounds like more of the same. Do u piss off Cousins and release Mannion. His good buddy...Mond wont last on practice squad. Not a good position to be in.

Monday has to be changes if come Sunday things don't turn around. That definitely includes Bradbury.

YES!

Back-up QB is too important to hand it to anybody's friend.

Yea, I’m not gonna have much respect for this new staff if Minion, who we all saw suck ass.. constantly, is given the backup job, without legitimate competition.

He sucks, I have yet to see NFL caliber play, out of him.

I’d take Bridgewater as a backup over Minion…

Now that is someone that could help win a game if needed. Is he a FA?

Kirk is a company guy. I really doubt he would be pissed off if Manion is released.

somebody has to talk to cousins...this is getting out of hand - the job doesn't come with a pet backup...we'll let mannion hang at the facility, but cousins picks up the tab - food, housing, grooming, etc....

mannion will not make the final 53....

If he means that much to KC he can hire him as a personal assistant. He can afford it.

Where is all this stuff coming from. Kirk and Manion get along fine like most teammates. The coaches have mentioned him being good in the QB room. When did that become Kirk is madly in love with him and will jump ship if Manion is released?

Fn Manion has no use as a QB on this team.. if he is such a good QB room guy, cut him and offer him a title as QB quality control, and bring in a vet QB that actually forces KC to compete for the next contract.

KC has a sweet gig.

De facto starting QB.
Based on contract money and shiny stats that got us 8 wins last season..

Not my BFF..

Not my QBOTF, by a long shot.

Bring in a serviceable QB , can win a game or three if KC gets hurt, then either Develop Mond by coaching him up or draft a new QBOTH in the first or second next year.

This mediocre QB thing, and KC defines mediocre, is growing old.

Looking more and more like we picked the right GM.....Chicago has been a bigger dumpster fire since Poles was hired. Cant keep their main Def Player happy even.

valid points and I was in favor of rebuilding and shooting for 1 or less wins this year, but...
Cousins is our QB and the season is starting Now, It's best to support him, the team and lets all hope for an awesome season. Sometimes a few things fall into place and everything looks like roses again. Let see what different coaching can do for one season.

Seems like we are spending a lot of time talking about what doesn't matter right now. If Cousins goes down for the season the season is over. Mond may or may not be anything but he's not ready at this point imo

All about Sunday. If Mond continues to struggle and Mannion is still ass. They have to do something. I think they thought Mond would grow. Bigger problem is Bradbury.

Get Reed a 1,000 snap the next 2 weeks. If still bad, Tretter has to be signed. 2 years 10 million. Need a center more that DL help with Suh.

Probably go with Reed at Center, and Ingram at Guard, and OL is looking pretty good.

Phil

I think you're right, the Vikings got the GM and HC right this off-season.

In the next few years, should the Vikings have an equal to or better QB than Matt Stafford, they will win the Super Bowl.

KOC will make a few mistakes his first season, and the biggest one could be starting starting Bradbury at Center early in the season.

I think KOC will move on (from players) faster than Zimmer......It would be anyone's guess why Breeland had playing time over Dantzler. The best thing is that if Dantzler falls we now have Booth, Evans, and Randall....plus a top Denver backup.

He's not going to challenge Cousins to be the starter, he's been blooded in the USFL. Could come in in a pinch and win a game or two. At least it'd be competitive. Throws a lot of interceptions but a lot of TDs too. You know like Favre

Look. All I'm sayin' is that this late in the preseason, he looks a lot like a viable, quality backup. So if Kirk goes down we don't hafta fold our tents till the start of free agency next year. At least that's how it seems to me.
