Tomorrow will give us a clear view of this team, post KC if we keep ****ng around with trying to slow roll the backup QB position, to appease the Ego of the Starter…

It's only preseason, but it's game day! Let's see what the new additions are about.

We are trying to "slow roll the backup QB position, to appease the Ego of the starter…" ???

Really? Sounds like bs to me from a hater, but maybe you could prove me wrong. What have you got?

So it’s hating on KC to expect this team to have some kind of actual plan if the most offensively important position suffers an injury, like a concussion, knee, ribs, hand or ****ing Covid, if the Quarterback, goes out for season, month or 2 games.

You are gonna see, later today, how that is gonna look.

Keep in mind that L V is not going to be going balls out for 4 quarters, but our two backups are going to be trying to execute against starters, all the way down to roster fodder, the entire game.

I predict sucktitude, that will be “blamed” on , in no particular order… shitty prep, shitty coaching, preseason ****ery and, by me, shit ass play by Minion, first and foremost, and “ deer in the headlights” play by Mond, and players on the non starting roster, missing assignments, not knowing the playbook, or just being bad in general.

It’s no secret that I am not a Ricky style fanboy of Stat king, risk averse, captain Checkdown, throw short and/or only throw more than 7 yards if a target is …slow read … look…open by a damn mile, KC lover.

Yea I hate KC.

He has shown nothing as far as being a leader, a playoff caliber QB, or anything but a selfish, money grubbing hypocrite.

Yea…that’s hate..

Not ashamed of it.

The shit people make up is mind boggling. Somebody says Kirk would get butt hurt if we had a good backup and others believe it. We drafted Mond with the 2nd pick of the third round IIRC. Kirk never whined at all. What would be funny is if we brought in RGIII to back him up.

Im trying to remember when Ive read such horrible reviews of a player on here - wow! Good thing our QB1 never misses a game

Until you jinxed him...

Maybe, 'cause the universe is always screwing me that way ... but I can argue this board is manifesting an injury for Cousins big time!

Fully expect Cousins on the cusp of the regular season to suffer a leg/life threatening knee injury tripping over an out of place piece of grass.

Can we not argue about Cousins' never missing time when he's missing time? Thanks.

Not sure why we would argue a tautology.

Funny stuff. KGA should pipe in.

NEW: Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins will miss Sunday's preseason game at Las Vegas after testing positive for #COVID19.

* Cool, build up those antibodies Kirk! - don't need you against no stinkin' Raiders in PS1 anyway ...

How much playing time are starter QBs getting now in game 1 with 3 PS games? First series only?

Honestly not a big deal. Missing 5 or 6 practice days in a new system – with our backups [which is not KCs fault] – is a bigger deal.

At the very least, it doesn't help. [I can't let KC off completely, you know that]

If only he had precluded any chance of catching COVID by getting the vaccine.

That'll stop you from getting it, huh?

Oh yeah, stop you from getting it, stop you from transmitting it. Or at the very least (I've heard) as you pass the virus along, the fact that your vaccinated will lessen the virility of said passed virus. 😲

You are completely missing the genius of KOC.

Act like you are twiddling your thumbs all offseason, make sure Mannion and Mond look horrible in practice ... then whammo! Live action full hidden-potential explosion!

All this time he's been covertly sharpening a couple of dull harmless spears into razor sharp mammoth killers.

I'll be waiting right here for your post-game crow eating.

Minion sucks., period.

KOC offense looks like a winning, playcalling master work in progress..

Minnesota media has made Mond sound like a dumb brick, lost, worthless pos..

I can’t for the life of me imagine why?

Hmmmmm..

Mond is way better than Minion, and Minnesota Football media is doing a hatchet job on him.. you know why..

Same axe used on Culpepper and others..

I still despise KC, and Nothing will change that, any more that KC Stan’s will change my mind that he is a greedy, me first, team leadership second, hypocrite.

His whole persona rubs me the wrong way and if I could bleep out his name in broadcasts, and put a black box over him on tv.. I would in a heartbeat.
I’d still see his gutless check downs and throws into the stands on third and anything..

Mond threw two dimes for touchdowns..

Far and away better than Minion.

Culpepper was highly overrated. Even Todd Bouman looked like a good qb with our offense. What do you think is the issue with Mond? The Minnesota media is racist?

Sometimes a touch pass is good. But agree not so sure it's intentional all the time.

Aim-y floaty. It worried me too. His TD passes were something though.

Jeff, I’m only saying., that comparing the play and effectiveness of the two.. Mond by a mile.

Minion is taking up space that a proven veteran Qb as KC’s emergency backup could be occupying.

Mond needs a bit more work , but what he showed tonight was way better than Christian Ponder on his best day.

IDK how many PA passes were called but it felt like a healthy amount. Without a QB great at stretching the field. Or scary receivers. Makes me drool over Cousins to JJ/Theilen/KJ. We are going to move the ball.

With 87 coaches and assistants I hope that 12 man penalty is the only one of its kind this year.

Mond at least showed me enough that I would like to see more. Basically there is no reason to give Minion another rep in practice or preseason game. I wouldn't mind giving Mond all of the reps that Cousins doesn't get, just to give him some run and see what he can do. We already know what Minion can do, which is fail miserably.

Mond must have a 95% approval rating right now. Mannion 5%. Our 1st look was a good look.

I say kudos. The young man wasn't given much last year and he probably had to put in the work in the OS. Theilen gave him props. I want to say Zimmer was a fool but I don't know how much growth there's been.

I think Mond surprised everyone who declared him a bust without seeing him play. Also 5% seems a bit high for Manion. I don't know if he has the support of anyone besides Cousins.

The players I were impreseed with were the ghost of Albert Wilson (looks like he still has some juice) and Trishton Jackson. Looks like we seem set at WR and RB no matter who we cut.

The talk on Mond is that his short and intermediate passes weren't catchable. The team didn't look bad considering it was the Raiders second game.

I think there are some tradeable WRs on the team but I doubt anyone would give us much....Hopefully they can stash Nailor and Jackson on the Practice Squad. Wilson, Smith, and Bisi look good enough to keep on the roster.

I wasn't that impressed with Mond. He look ok against players that may or may not make teams and a simplistic offense. Christian Ponder excelled in these situations.
He may get to be a decent backup but I would not say I was overly impressed no. He certainly missed some things out there that he shouldn't have.
