Giving up a td at the end of the first half continues to be a problem.

We built a good lead but let teams back in it (Balt, GB) by giving up 7 points to close out the half.

Our defense is toothless.

The #Vikings now have the 2nd highest passing grade in the #NFL , and the lowest team pass blocking grade, according to #PFF. Cousins deserves a lot of credit. Still a lot of work to do for the OL.

Even with the skill dudes blowing it up and Cousins in a groove ... it still feels like a borderline wild card team.

League mediocrity will have something to say about that.

It comes down to the fact that our Defense sucks. The 'guru' was figured out a long time ago. All the Cousins trash talk it warranted at some point but you can't deny he's not our problem this year.

I don't necessarily agree. Peterson made a big difference 1st half and then had a hammy issue. Breeland played well and they went after Dantzler and Alexander.

Also when you look at Gladney and Hughes I think the talent is/was there but injuries and assaults are hard to see.

It is true the defense played better first half, 'holding' GB to a FG,TD. That's because our toothless DL was making an impact. The defense has all kinds of problems not just the DBs.

Peterson is just okay at this point. Breeland Dantzler and Alexander ... are at best very very inconsistent. Not sure why Woods has regressed from first couple of games but he has dramatically. Harry is in worse geriatric shape than Peterson.

Kendricks (even though yesterday wasn't his best game) and Griffith are the only two defenders right now playing above average football, game in and game out.

Gladney and Hughes have nothing to do with anything ... every team has players with issues / injuries / draft misfires on their current roster ... you are trying to interject ancient non-vikings into our current talent equation.

The defense is simply not up to the task right now.

Our defense played better against LAC...Bynum and Vigil make the defense better. Hopefully the Coaches see it (eventually). The DE depth was so beat up that Sheldon Richardson went to DE in the 2nd half....might want to keep him there the way he played....

Tomlinson supposedly out for 49ers game; not vaxxed and has COVID or contact tracing. Will have to wait and see.

The #Vikings placed Dalvin Tomlinson on the COVID-19 reserve list today.

Tomlinson is unvaccinated, so if he's on the list for contact tracing reasons, it's possible he could return for Sunday's game. If he tested positive, he'd be out for 10 days.

Well ... now the new Air Zimmer approach makes sense

Courtney Cronin@CourtneyRCronin

"But you keep going for the jugular, it’s going to open up a lot of other areas in the running game. It’s going to open up other players. We’ve just got to keep being that way."

Zimmer is taking the blame for poor defensive calls in the 2nd half, and wants Kirk to continue being more aggressive. Is Zimmer starting to read these threads ?

Yes.

He's played the most snaps of any DT on our roster. And only Wonnum and Griffen have played more on the line.

His impact has been disappointing to say the least.

Don't read him on Instagram and then life will be good. Knowing what's going on in everyones life through social media is not the recipe for happiness

I don't follow anyone on Instagram or Twitter. Just followed a link from reddit.

There's merit in your point though. Sometimes I wish I took in no information at all...just the games.

Just saw it. Why is a man that has mental issues allowed to possess a hand gun?

Not uncommon in today's America, just look at the news. Mass shootings every other week. No one that does that is mentally stable. Guns are easy access even for minors with issues.

I hope Grif is still on his meds and is continuing to get help.

idk but he last went off the rails when he was Viking. So it does bring up the question is this organization providing help for him?

For all you know…

You have no idea, when or how often, or how far “he goes off the rails”..

Mental health is not a narrow path that is easily followed from point A to point B.

Most people self regulate themselves continuously, without a second thought.

For others, it is not that simple.

I speak from first hand experience.
