Just proves my point that religion is a worthless, divisive force, good for nothing but distraction and disharmony, everywhere it crops up.

Nothing that happened here tonight was about religion. Anyone that thinks I'm some religious fanatic is so far off base. I don't care what you believe in, Dan. I just think it sucks you don't respect what others believe - and once again, I'm not talking about myself.

You didn’t see anything.. at all.. related to discussions about religious faith or beliefs?

Really?

My point stands.

You, yourself are harping on me for my point of view, my beliefs are counter to yours and way many others.

That is the definition of a divisive context.

I’m gonna stop now, this is both useless and pointless and not the place for this..

As you were..

Carry on..

It had nothing to do with me. I never consider religion in anything I said. Whatever he was using as bait had nothing to do with me.

I'm not harping on you about your beliefs. Im harping on you because I think your approach to letting the world know anyone who speaks the words Jesus or God are some kind of worthless people. I stand by what I said, I think it stinks!!!

Ricky it’s not worthless.

.I don’t judge religious people as worthless for beliefs.

That’s putting words and meaning to my opinion that are not true.

IMO it’s foolish, and other things..

But again, not here, not now..

Why not here? It's ok to talk about bands, right?

What percent of the people who used to post here regularly seven years ago post here today. Why is that?

The point of the entire blow up tonight was centered around, for me, treating other people like shit who post here.

* Boston Globe, 1/6/2002, Baltimore, A Pale Blue Dot - that's what I think about religion, but I respect people who have faith and enjoy going to church - and in my opinion, common decency requires

There ya go, Dan - carry on

Instead of being in a celebratory mood after a wonderful win, people here are at each others throats & bragging or worried about their betting actions.

WTF people. It's a Vikes Talk thread for crying out loud.

I always assumed they have either matured beyond my adolescent fixation on this team or have more interesting lives than I do.

I think some have moved onto sites that keep it 99% football. At least that is what I have seen.

OK, that's weird.

Vikings Mt. Rushmore, no ifs, ands, or buts (sorry Joey Browner) and in no order:

Randall McDaniel
Alan Page
Fran Tarkenton
Randy Moss

Loved Browner and AC! That's why I started loving the purple!

Solid Rushmore Bill. I think I may throw in Randle over McDaniel but in no way was he better at his position than crooked stance McDaniel. Just a preference I guess.

Yeah Randle is up there. In McDaniel's rookie year he was already 2nd team this or that. I loved watching him abuse Warren Sapp.

I've never found a site that keeps it even 75% football. Most I've visited are much more vulgar and mean-spirited than talkvikes. My theory is that the clashes were more about posters' desire to control the narrative than the actual content of any given argument. The attempts to control naturally spark the rebellious nature of those who don't stand for that. I think there was a core group that viewed talkvikes as "theirs" and weren't flexible enough to enjoy new users and their opinions and styles.

I don't dishonor anyone Bill, you're just an a-- towards me.

All the Vikings WRs have a J in their name, that is why OBJ would fit right in. It would be nice to replace Bisi.

Where is the "J"?

Dont disassociate yourself too far lol

There’s the loonies that stick out like sore thumbs, then there are [those] trying to break them off at the knuckle …

It exacerbates our looniness.

Can't wait to see these guys. Amazing to listen to podcasts already wondering if Cine was overdrafted, while, of course, saying they're not.

I'd say it's more that they need to compete for a playoff spot at a minimum, per the Wilfs mandate, and be pointed in the right direction with a plan to get there. That said, I think (don't *know*) that they are already good, so now I'm looking forward to the improvement I anticipate as the year proceeds.

Philly will be a great test of our ability to execute in a hostile environment. I don't know if they still have a judge in the basement handing out misdemeanors but that's not a place I'd like to go...

On offense I hope they can involve AT and Osborne a little more, get Cook going, maybe Irv can get some catches. I love seeing JJ rack up 180 yds but I gotta think other teams are going to go Moss treatment on us and try and force us to beat them in other ways. Fortunately we have a creative offensive coach and several weapons to help us through the growing pains of running a new offense.

Defensively we need to be stingier stopping the run and not let Hurts scramble/run on us. It'll be a great test of our discipline and coverage. I hope Z and Hunter make their lives miserable.

I think we win in a close one. I'm sure we'll get the usual away team treatment from the refs, but so long as we don't give up TOs like Halloween candy I still think we prevail.

if we can steal one in Philly, my excitement will be off the chart...

If healthy, we can play with anyone in the NFC

FOR THE RECORD....I still hate our center, even though he was slightly better than terrible last week

a few rookie mistakes for ingram, but there was a lot i liked about him!! we are SOOOOO CLOOOOOSE with the oline, I am astounded that they ignored the center....Its the only complete weakness on this team
