A special shout out to Quay Walker for his great job of pushing, of all people, a Lions trainer, thereby keeping the eventual go-ahead drive alive!

add to that his cry baby hissy fit in the tunnel should cement him into the NFL hall of shame

There should be a ton of focus on the Def personnel this offseason.

I wonder how many Packers players are tired of the Erin Rodgers show.

On the surface that schedule looks like a losing record for sure. Every year some teams completely implode so you never know.

Vikings will have to improve massively to make playoffs next year for sure.

I think more along the lines that the other teams are nervous to see US on THEIR schedule.

There should be a ton of focus on the Def personnel this offseason.

There should be even MORE focus on replacing Mr. 4th and 26 with a more aggressive defensive coordinator, one that can at least put away poor QBs, not let them get 400+ yards of offense.

According to Giants center Nick Gates, Minnesota’s home crowd was meh and unintimidating from a loudness perspective.

When asked about the Vikings crowd noise, Gates told ESPN last weekend, “Surprised. Actually, I thought it would be a lot louder. I thought especially when our offense is out there they would be a lot louder out there. But you know, they’re Midwest people.“

The Vikings home crowd isn’t known for quietness, although some games are louder than others. Every now and then, a home game for the Vikings will be uncharacteristically quieter than usual, but that generally involves the Vikings struggling out of the gate.

Im always interested in who does the officiating:

Luke Inman
@Luke_Spinman
·
1h
Adrian Hill's crew was assigned the MN/NY playoff game. The exact same referee that officiated Giants at Vikings in Week 16. Unusual to have the same official do a rematch that quickly. Per
@nflrefstats1

Vikings had just 2 penalties called against them (14YDs). NY had 7 (63YDs).

OK, speaking as someone who was there that day, let's point out that it was Christmas Eve Day, there was a massive blizzard that was still on it's tail-end that morning, and it was still 'fairly' loud in there. It was also just above zero degrees outside and folks were just happy to warm up a little.

I'm guessing this quote will be on big screen at US Bank more than a few times on Sunday.

Fortunately, it's a 3:00 game, Vikings fans are still pretty sleepy at noon.

It may sound odd but CJ Ham is a potential answer to how some teams have bracketed Jefferson. The Vikings used him a few times on a 2 man concept with JJ and because of the attention paid to JJ he was very productive. Using a FB is key because teams pay more attention to a WR.

Tyler Ireland@TylerIrelandNFL
Only 6 NFL teams have a winning record against teams over .500 and the "fraudulent" #Vikings are one of them - Vikes are 3-2.

A gather 'round the fireplace coziness. Guess folks in outdoor stadiums during the winter can't be bothered with that.

I am hoping KOC is prepared for more early blitzing from Daboll.

It seemed like KOC was a little slow to adjust to the blitzes last time they played the Giants, but adjustments did seem to be made.

Want to know a fun fact about outdoor stadiums? In the ten coldest home games they've played in, the Vikings have a losing record. Another fun fact? It's the same for the Packers. The idea of a cold-weather outdoor home field advantage is a myth. I imagine it's a myth that came from fans as some type of coping mechanism to justify how miserable the game experience was - freezing their asses off.

What is the losing record of the 10 coldest? 4-6... 3-7?

Agree the weather outdoors puts a damper on the cheering when it is brutally cold. But that's no excuse for the indoor crowd.

Like I said, they were just happy to warm up. Oh wait, you said that.

There's no tailgating except for two tiny lots that hold about 200 cars total. Cars traveling to the stadium that day had to deal with drifted over roads (even the major highways like 212 which we come in from), roads with just one lane open, crashes and vehicles in the ditch, and insane traffic near the stadium. The wind chill was -20 to -30. Ah shucksy-darns it didn't get loud enough as people were still preparing to celebrate Christmas with their loved ones later that night? Take the roof off. That should help.

You are correct Phil. It's more on Kirk, but I also think KOC bears some of the responsibility of responding quickly to the other team doing more blitzing.
