defensive coordinator Ed Donatell believes it’s the defense’s time to shine.

“”It’s our time to shine as a defense now that we’re hitting the playoffs. We intend to have success this year.”

I guess I'll stop worrying.

Dirty little secret is that the D has been improving and playing their best football as of late. Just in time for the playoffs.

Is that a dirty little secret between you and Donatell?

Maybe you mean holding the toothless Bears in a meaningless game to 13 points.

We gave up 41 - 24 - 36 -34 in the four games before that. Maybe 'points against' are not a good indicator.

Maybe you mean 'not being last in team defense anymore' (we've improved from 32 to 28 ... unfortunately still worst of all the playoff teams)

If the defense doesn't shine Sunday and the Vikings lose, the only "shiny" head of Donatell should be hitting the road.

I think Vikes handle their business tomorrow. After that, all bets are off.

If the defense plays a lights out game, we will win. I’m already dropping xanax thinking about tomorrow!!!

The more SF wins by this week, the more amazing it will seem when the Vikings upset them next week.

Not feeling very good about things.

Maybe we get 1 week to feel good about things before it all comes crashing down. Maybe.

You do have to question how he was a 7th rounder in a very weak QB class.

Some of it's luck. Right system, opportunity.

Lynch is hands down the best GM in football. He sticks the team with talent and then plucks Purdy

Lance will likely be available next year at a very cheap price

If they’re gonna bring in Rosen, why not give San Fran a 4th rounder for Lance?

If Purdy is as good as everybody wants to believe he is (and I don't doubt it, jtbc) all 32 GMs suck at their job with regards to evaluating him, imo.

Most interesting post you'll read today. I guarantee it! I'm providing a link so you can read the 4 paragraph pic "snippet" of the play calls that I cannot cut and paste.

Very true. KR and Pick 6 in the Packers game and Blocked Punt and Pick 6 in the Colts game.

Does it matter? At all?

Including John Lynch, a half a dozen times or so.

All this talk about how great a qb Justin Herbert is.

He has just as many playoff victories as I do.

If Lynch stocks the team with talent, why would Lance be available for a very cheap price?

Lance is looking like a monumental whiff by Lynch. Purdy was blind luck.
