Didn't see that. Dantlzer and Evans both had some personal stuff going on late last season.

CB better be a deep draft position!

I thought Evans had at least 2 concussions so they wouldn't let him the last few games.

That's not related to my point.

Evans had 3 concussions. Not any personal stuff.

imo; the vikings are quietly putting together a blockbuster deal...cousins to the 49ers -- lamar jackson to the vikings -- we get picks from SF, and Baltimore gets picks from us....

I hope not.

I don't trust Jackson's body to hold up and I question the contract he turned down so I question his head.

I've got my eye on the Panthers shaking things up by taking Richardson...which skakes loose Young to start falling and we find a way to snag him.

And there's talk Stroud could be the Panthers guy. If the Panthers take Stroud and the Texans take Richardson maybe Young is the guy sitting on the waiting room wondering this time. If he can get into range where it's no more than a 2024 1st...I hope we strike.

Houston at 12 would be ideal.

Its fun to think about QBs but I’m going to keep my eye on RB or maybe ILB.

Kwesi’s big blockbuster deal in year one was a TE. His mad scramble in his first draft got us a S.

He’s obviously a rebel in terms of team building and positional value. And not.giving your divisional rivals any kind of competitive advantage.

Go kwazy Kwesi!

Whatever you say.

Vikings' Akayleb Evans says he's been battling 'mental demons'

The 23-year-old is getting off of social media to focus on his mental health this offseason.
JOE NELSONJAN 20, 2023 9:51 AM EST

Sports can be larger than life but all the fame and money in the world can't stop a person from having to face difficulties on life's road.

Akayleb Evans, a cornerback for the Minnesota Vikings, is the latest example of a professional athlete being vulnerable in front of the world as he addressed the mental and physical struggles he's been battling during his rookie season in the NFL.

"I've been dealing with a lot mentally on and off the field while still trying to be the fun loving guy that most know I once was. I'm in a period of my life where meaningful relationships I've had for years have been lost while also dealing with injuries in football when I'm just trying to be the best version of myself professionally in the sport that I love," Evans wrote in a social media post Thursday night.

There’s a real sense that Ezra Cleveland could be the next surprise cut.

And it was Evans himself who mentioned mental demons (as opposed to the SI source embellishing).

Wasn't saying it's a huge deal, just that Evans and Dantzler had some personal things going on.

Not sure I would cut him. He could be the backup swing T but yes he is a lousy G

This is the first I've heard of Evans having mental demons. At least he didn't seem to have the immature baggage Dantzler put on display.

cleveland, dantzler, wonnum, and osborn all hit contract 'escalators' this season because of playing time thresholds....

now, they're making too much money to keep....

Can't really get much worse. We need to bring players in that can move people, not get moved.

I had mental demons just from watching that defense ...

Not sure Evans' struggles last year are not a sign of a well-adjusted stable personality.

He'll feel better when he's not trying to dogpaddle across a raging flashflood of offensive output.

I remember talk of him struggling last year but I didn't really see the fall from avg starter to no good. I thought we had an avg starter anyway.

Yeah ... things are tight but an escalator clause for a 5th rd pick who's probably starting this year is a no brainer.

We're too busy looking under sofa cushions for Shelley change anyway.
