It's stupid.

But I'd rather do stupid than see Cousins any more.

Let me ask you - I"m curious more than being a smart ass - does it make you feel better when you vent like that? I wonder the same thing about Dan as well.

I mean, it's not going to change anything. He's our boy.

Who's venting. He almost won me over but couldn't get 1 playoff win. He checked down and I checked out.

Did you miss the rest of the game? Favre threw the INT in the NFC Championship game but I also realized he got us there as well as AP multiple fumbles.

Our 2024 120ml salary cap surplus has shrank to 62ml.

Stay tuned for more of kwesi playing kick the can.

I saw Davenport on the 2024 roster. Mr. One Year has void years through 2027!

F it, let Queasy build up enough dead cap in the outyears to sabotage himself. Maybe a real GM can be hired who will tell the Wilfs how it's going to be done and not some spineless weak-ass who is afraid of cousin Lennie.

Murphy is another one with void years. Well one void year. $4.2 million in 2025.

Davenport has $6.8 million spread out.

Cousins $28 million spread out.

Hunter $11.25.

Oliver $2.9.

Freakin Dean Lowry $1.8.

@ Rick Jensen…

Kirk cousins is your boy..

Some of us despise his mediocrity and geed.

We have had the “Kirk Coustns Experience “ as the franchise QB.

Besides a money pit, what do you have to show for his leadership?

Nothing.

I want him gone, he is useless and fools are the only ones who think he can lead a team past the first round.

Many of us are sick and tired of the “but.. but.. but.. “ excuses and finger pointing at the defense and other aspects of the team

The guy is paid like a King to be an average Qb.

You can’t see it.

You refuse to admit he is a cancer to the cap situation, free agency, and the ability to make contract moves to keep far more valuable components of the entire team.

We have to hunt for scraps in Free agency, in trash heaps of castoffs, and other questionable places, because Kirk Cousins has a Stranglehold on the cap and future dead money.

You couldn’t be more wrong in clinging to the fan-boy status, Kirk Cousins is a franchise drowning anchor of useless dead weight.

I am not alone in wanting his sorry ass gone.

Yeah, we can't afford to sign a minimum wager, have Cousins with a non-trade clause and $48 million dead cap, $50+ million in void years, no draft ammo, and JJ + Darrisaw looming but whoo hoo let's stop staring into the abyss and jump in... head first!

Add to that the legions of Washington fans who cheered when he finally left. They were right all along. They saw right through stat-boy... and that wasn't even with a 100% guaranteed contract.

And kudos to Washington's front office for not caving into Check-Down Charlie's demands.

Meanwhile we have tripled down on stupidity.

I know you're not alone in "wanting his sorry ass gone" Dan, you and others tell us every day.

I'm glad I was able to give you another opportunity to "vent"

But you don't have a clue what I see or don't see

And be careful calling me a Fanboy, I know where you live <wink>

Peace, brother!

The Vikings have had a lot of success in various ways over the years, but these are Minnesota things that NFL fans laugh at:

Jim Marshall running the wrong way for an opponent TD.

The Herschel Walker 'trade'.

Losing a draft slot by not getting the card in on time.

Add in: Giving a 100% guaranteed contract to a never-was, then extending it with... another 100% guaranteed contract.

Pat Kirwan and Jim Miller dedicated a large part of their show to our game in the week leading up. Pointed out the D that NY would use the most because it was the one they had the most success with ion 12/24. They said that to beat that D your qb has to be willing to run a few draws and said there’s no way cousins would do that.

Pat and Jim are good. I like listening to them when I get to use my wife's car. But that's bs! If Cousin's thought he could beat 'em with a draw and he called the plays we would of saw the draw. He's not a puss. The guy has proven, to me anyway, he's not afraid of taking a beaten.

The Giants did exactly what Jim and Pat talked about all week - and it worked. They beat us in our own house. It wasn't about calling a qb draw play it was about seeing the defense and recognizing that in order to take away Jefferson and our run game they had to leave a big hole just past their D-line. We needed Kirk to SEE this in real time and make them pay with a couple of tuck-and-runs for ten yards or so. This would have forced NY to play a more honest D. We didn't do it. Jefferson finished with seven catches for 47 yards. Cook had 15 carries for 60 yards. Cook had six catches for just ten yards. Hockenson was left in single coverage and we got him ten catches on eleven targets for 129 yards but that wasn't enough. All we needed was a couple of runs up the wide open middle from our qb and the dynamic of the game would have been changed early. We could have dictated the terms but instead we took what they were giving which was Hockenson and let them take our best player out of the game.

Two dudes on the radio could see this coming and they were clear about it: They said Kirk won't do it. Granted they don't have a very high opinion of Kirk but I guess it goes to show.

I wouldn't give ANY qb $30-50+ mil unless that QB had won me a Super Bowl. Did you win a Super Bowl on your rookie deal? Yes? Great! Here's your hugenormous contract. F it let's just run victory laps and love life. No? Good luck. Next!

Same game, we don't cough the ball up five times then 12 men in the huddle matters not. we win in a blowout.

Correct...there were also more than one play that cost us the Giants game (also).

The Vikings were able to fit DE Marcus Davenport and his $6.2M cap hit under the cap yesterday by officially processing S Harrison Smith’s restructured contract. Smith’s new deal shaved $7.3M off of his prior cap number, with Minnesota hovering around $2M in cap space now.

Good one.

A week ago I brought up the defense in defense of Cousins and am attacked cause I brought it up once before. Mention how old it gets listening to the broken record about how hating Cousins is brought up everyday and it brings on what we're currently going through.

I say gets old listening to the Cousins hate day after day, you take it as I'm singling you out - whom I didn't even think about while writing the post - and you call me a jackass.

TBH, that's fine, Tom. Go for it.
