at this moment, the vikings have one opening available on the 53-man roster, and one on the 16-man practice squad....

Will Ragatz@WillRagatz

Vikings have signed OLB Benton Whitley to the active roster.

I look forward to see him running onto the field giving Hicks a piggy back ride.

I imagine they needed to bring in a defender with some new celebration ideas after the defense used up every single one of them with the one celebration last Sunday.

People expecting OBJ…c’mon. The Vikings have zero cap space and the dude tore his ACL eight months ago.

.....

Can't think of a dumber move ... when compared to IOL or secondary help.

Just got done writing a column about OBJ potentially signing with the Vikings. The more research I did the more it made sense. Will be published this afternoon

We have Jefferson, Theilen, Osborn, Reagor,...

What good would OBJ do?

I agree, stupid

Pure speculation on my part: If OBJ is a bad idea to sign then it would be in the Vikings' interest to hype him up so that perhaps another club might sign him. Sabotage.

Hard no for me on OBJ. Would seem forced. On the part we have no $ and the part where he's broken.

I think we're pushing along a good apple cart. I don't want to spill it.

Probably coming from Kwesi who likes the way acb ties in with 123 but I worry about chemistry.

We don't have coin or the need.

For both of you... who the F is he?

Do you believe he is a legit source, or are you just repeating tweets w/o any encumbrances?

I don't think OBJ signing is realistic... he is going to want way more money than Vikes have.

(unless he was desperate for a prove it year to set up next contract)

However, I'm concerned about the number of plays I've seen where nobody is open.

Dolphins/Eagles seem to have little trouble focusing on taking JJ out and Thielen/KJ/Irv can't seem to get separation.

Seems like refs are letting secondary play more physical this year.

Dallas/Bills will tell us everything.

My guess is offense is going to have to score a lot to win those games.

1st 3rd of the year MVP to KOC.

The flipped record is the result in good planning, attention to detail, and culture.

He can put himself in contention for COY the next leg here if we can have respectable outings against Dallas and Buffalo and split those games...while continuing to win like we have.

I'm really interested in what KOC focuses on in the getting better dept. We're doing so well in a lot of the little things that matter...

We have the $$$ as Kwesi can always get someone to renegotiate by digging deeper into his dead cap turd pile.

LOL per bolded, the problem there is the opponents will be better so winning like we have is a non-starter.

Is there even such a thing as COY? Maybe the CFL has that. Still, sort of agree fundamentally. Like penalties are elite as we are #2, which is amazing. IMO that is directly tied to buy-in and perhaps good coaching. Could be a honeymoon phase though.

We don’t need beckham. If we could find some dlineman who can stuff the run, we’d be better off.
