i have to say, i am intrigued by all the QB talk, if we get one of the good ones that would make this a very interesting draft.

I'm worried that the QB talk is eclipsing all other outcomes.

It would just be my luck as a vikings fan for Kwesi to draft three pro bowlers with his first three picks

but for me to harm myself because a mediocre QB type wasn't included.

The draft goes beyond all reason.

Feels like there is so much talk about us going after a QB, especially trading up for a QB, that it must be smoke...

And we will ultimately trade back in the first and get a similar quality guy with an extra 3rd rounder, which I'll be OK with, ultimately

But I really hope we go for it, make that big trade up and get our QBOTF

Anyone believe the trade for Tre Lance?

I think there was talk about Lance, but not sure how serious...

I do think that Kwesi wants to get a QB to put his stamp on this organization, O'Connell too, so they are truly leaving no stones unturned

It is heartening to know they really don't want to just extend Cousins every couple years until he retires

Kwesi won't be calling the shots on the QB, imo. KOC was pretty straight forward the last few weeks stating what he wants in a QB. I can see the GM deferring to the HC on this one

2. Minnesota Vikings (via HOU)
Will Levis QB, Kentucky
*Trade*

Surprise! You may have seen the betting odds change for the No. 2 overall pick on Saturday, with Will Levis becoming the odds-on favorite. But I don’t think that’s because the Texans are taking him. I’ve heard loud rumblings that Minnesota is very active in trying to trade up for a quarterback and I think they will pull off a blockbuster here. Levis will succeed Kirk Cousins after the Vikings chose not to extend the latter beyond this season. There is a major disconnect between how fans and those inside the NFL view Will Levis. Don’t get me wrong, there are several people in the NFL who are uninterested in drafting Levis this high, but there are plenty who believe he is absolutely worth the cost with the upside to be the best passer in the class when it’s all said and done

I'd like to see what making up 1800 points looks like to go from 23 to 2.

To me that looks like 23, JJ and 2024 1st.

#Vikings have called the #Texans and #Cardinals regarding a trade up.

Talks have had legitimate movement and a deal could get done early this week

Is that on the Kwesi draft point chart, or the regular one?

Are we sure it would be Levis the Vikings are coveting, or might be Stroud, or even Richardson?

When you're trying to make up a zillion points and using star players you have to throw the chart out.

No one's sure of anything.

I think Young could be Drew Brees for 15 years...but after that...is anyone potentially great? I'd almost want to go Richardson if we go this route. His athleticism is off the charts and he has so much tread on his tires. Might be boom or bust. Boom we win SB's. Bust we start over. Stroud or Levi's might keep us mid for the foreseeable future.

Levis stares down his first read, can he scramble or do anything if a play breaks down ?

Levis's highlight film isn't all that impressive. Is it the opposite of DTR where he is instead BETTER than his highlights might suggest ?

Just making the move would thrill me.

Will they get the right guy? Who knows. But I do remember Kwesi saying he could identify a franchise QB as good or better than anyone else.

Yes, I feel the same way.

They have interviewed these guys, they should know what they're doing, and it would be an exciting, gutsy move.

Maybe I am too concerned about what a QB does when a play breaks down, in my analysis.

Stroud does impress with the accuracy of his throws.

I think it's more likely the Vikings trade up for a QB, than make a pick at #23. I think they will either trade up, or if nothing gets worked out, then they will trade down with their pick.

If we trade that far up it better be for Stroud. Bust factor too high on Levis and Richardson.

I believe I remember that, too. It being similar to picking red over black at the roulette table. Im assuming you actually have to get to the table to win, though

Oh man, no way IMO. Stroud will be a massive bust. No OSU QB has panned out and his S2 score was rock bottom. Think what you may of that test, scouts are very aware of it.

He will be the best qb in this draft. Obviously you didn't see him dissect the GA defense in the playoffs. I will base my opinions on what I saw on the field vs some dumb test done on a computer.
