Would be the biggest swing in Viking draft history.

I want it just for it.

I think the Vikings will go up and get either Stroud or Levis.

Stroud makes more sense, as he is more likely to drop, costing less. But they may like Levis better, or have put up a smokescreen.

I want them to get Alien Anthony Richardson, so I won't put him as my choice in the draft challenge. I will put either Levis or Stroud.

This could be quite exciting, the Vikings getting a QB. Or they could trade down again, and take another safety, lol, Brian Branch.

I have a hard time believing we will make the move up that high for a QB...

But I keep imagining it...

Not sure how that plays out on the field, but it sure makes for some excitement!

Please not Levis, though...

Some mock on CBS Sports has us taking this guy at #23 - https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/players/3162222/bryan-bresee/

Seems like a natural 3-4 DE, but he also seems like a Dean Lowry clone.

We're not moving up that high, and likely not at all.

Focus on the bottom of the first round through the top of the second. IMO it's very plausible we won't be drafting anyone tomorrow night.

I agree it is more likely we don't draft at all tomorrow night than to move mountains to move up...

I feel a little like Kwesi is hell bent on getting his Mahomes, and that getting that guy, it won't matter that we don't have first rounders for a couple years, right?

But if we do, we will draft Levis and it will be like the Bears trade for Trubisky

that is a nauseating thought to me

For those of you looking to make a major move up, what are you willing to pay to get your guy?

I think they are consulting Mike Ditka for an answer.

i bet they will give up next two years' first rounders (and this year's of course), and probably a player like Hunter?

Probably some mid round picks involved too...

We do need to get creative.

How about a 3 team trade? Minnesota, Phoenix, SF

Phoenix gets: Minnesota's 2023, 2024 first round pick and Danielle Hunter; SF's 2023 3rd round pick and 2024 first round pick.

SF gets: Kirk Cousins

Minnesota gets: Phoenix's 2023 #3 pick

I thought Phoenix traded that pick for Kevin Durant.

There is really just one guy perpetuating this trade up stuff, with daily posts about moving up to the top 15, 10, 5 and taking Stroud, Young, Richardson, or Levis depending on the day. Shades of Bernardo Harris and David Boston.

I didn't start posting stuff about moving up in the draft, until I started seeing a whole bunch of articles about it.

And then the Vegas odds changed on Levis.

So Bill is quite wrong, David Boston wrong that I am the only one perpetuating the rumors about the Vikings possibly trading up.

A few weeks ago, I was content with a trade down, and then choosing Brian Branch, or a WR with the Vikings 1st pick.

Vikings Draft rumors so far:

Trade up for Levis…
… nope, out on Levis
Trade up for Richardson
Trade up for Stroud
Stay at 23- Hooker, Banks, Smith, Forbes, Flowers, Johnston, Addison
Trade back with KC

Can’t wait for tomorrow!

I would trade up for Stroud only (or Young)

Levis and Richardson will bust...

I like Hooker better than those 2...but if we are sitting around waiting for him, then KAM and KOC can't be too high on him...

I'd rather we get CB or WR at 23 or trade back

word is, while the vikings did not invite hendon hooker to their top-30 rookies affair, they did travel 'off site' to meet with him somewhere....

I really like Hendon Hooker and would be ok if the Vikings got him at 23. However, here is an alternative perspective from Corey Chavous. He ranks the QBs as follows:

1. Stroud (big Board 6th)
2.Young (big Board 19th)
3. DTR (big board 21st)
4. Richardson (big board 23rd)
5. Hooker (big board 67) Wow!
6. Levis (big board 72)

One thing I agree with in the rankings in general is that there is better talent and team impact at other positions in this draft. I think the Vikings will not draft a QB in the first round just because they can get much better players at the other positions.

I think KOC would help to make Richardson one of the best QBs in the league, and the Vikings should go up and get him.
