ORIGINAL: Todd M I thought it was the 1st thing Martz said. Its a long video. Martz seemed to be impressed with Hooker's quick decisions / lack of indecision. Given the shortened drop back, that decisiveness was necessary. Including taking off if his reads weren't there. At the same time, Martz also went on and on about how coolly he played with bodies flying all around him. I don't know. I want to like Hooker, I do like Hooker lol, but is he being pushed up because of desperation at the position or was he pushed down in pre-April draftnik evaluations because of the injury? I get the 'having to settle' perception vs. 'going after a prospect heavy'. However, given our draft position and resources (we may or may not have some trade bait, we certainly don't have a lot of draft capital to offer unless you want to gamble with a future draft or two) ... its not the worst year to gamble on a possible starter-type prospect (ie first rounder). Last year there was one QB taken in the first (Pickett at #20) and none in the second.
