We have three players with Hall of Fame potential talent. Jefferson, Darrisaw and Hunter. When you have players of that caliber you need to keep them on your team. They should not trade any of them.

You trade a pending UFA if you project you cannot afford him because of the upcoming contracts and dead cap.

It better be a #1 and change or you hang up the phone.

Why? If, say, we can't pay Hunter why stubbornly hold out for a 1st then get nothing while turning down a more likely 2nd or 3rd (and the 3rd would be better than any comp pick).

Being smart about the business side of it is a must. If all you get is a 2nd maybe it's worth it. I love Hunter but he's not going to be here next year.

Because the rumors are multiple teams want him. KAM should be able to parlay a 1st and more for him.

Own what you posted.

That is absolutely hilarious coming from you.

I wasn’t the one pretending I didn’t post Jesus boy posts all week.

Apparently you're devastated that Kirk got hurt. It sucks but it happens. You don't have to blame everyone else for it.

I didn’t mention you. They know who they are.

Just so you whiners can move on..

I, Daniel Lee Young, am and was the poster who “tagged” KFC as “ Jesus boy” originally, at least a season ago, and I use that tag as derisively as possible, whenever I feel like it..

Just like I call Brett Favrey, “Butt Favrey”..

Move on..

I’ll crucify Jesus boy as often as I feel necessary…

Get over it.

Obviously you play the game to get the best offer for him. I'd imagine 4 or 5 teams would be highly interested.

I don’t see them trading Hunter away. I see them adding to the defense and trading Cleveland. Back to .500 and Atlanta next.
Going to have to get a running game going and short safe passing game for Hall. See if we can pull out a win.

They’ll probably promote Mannion to back up Hall until Mullens is “ready”.

If those rumors are true, then we'll find out his true market value as teams have to end up getting their best bids in. At the end of the day, take the best bid even though it might (IMO likely) will not be a 1st.

I think fans overrate their players. It's amazing what teams end up with for very good players.

I can't believe we continue to waste spots on Mannion. Practice squad or other.

Sorry but injury or not, this team was not going anywhere anyway.

GB looked historically bad ... unbelievably bad ... and they stayed within one extra stupid play by us or one lucky play from them of making it another one score game.

The SF game was a mirage. May have been the high point of the season. We'll never know but we looked no better than a 4-4 team today even with our chosen one at QB.

I know I was hoping we turned a corner but today was just more of the same.

I hate to see Cousins get injured. I don't like him, I've wanted him gone – but not like this, absent of any serious contingency plan.

Plus ... IMO Cousins was missing some critical QB traits ... but the goofus had a really good arm and always gave 150% / always maximized what he did have ...

It's not a fair way to end your Vikings career.

At this point, I really hope we do not expend 2024 draft resources for a QB. Why do that? To salvage an ok season? And shoot yourself in the foot in the next draft?

I wouldn't trade a player either (for a QB). Only for draft assets.

We are in the end game now for the next Vikings QB ...

If several teams are involved, maybe we get a 2nd for Hunter and return a 4th.

Trouble is, he's not signed after the season, he's not young, he's not cheap so that could pull lower his trade value. But he is good.

Davenport and JJ back in two weeks. Defense and run game will have to carry team and I have more faith in the defense.

Phil Mackey@PhilMackey

True contenders find ways to beat the brakes off opponents once in a while.
Since the beginning of last season, the 49ers have 12 wins of 3 scores or more. The Cowboys have 8. Eagles, Chiefs, Bills have combined for 17.
The Vikings' last win of 3 scores or more came on Dec. 15, 2019.
Today feels like a day to beat this atrocious Packers team by 3-4 scores.

There is two guys that I think give us a shot realistically. Dalton and Huntley.

Yep. There is no magic solution out there at QB. Do not trade a thing for one.

He looks dominant when in. I guess everyone would look like PR compared to your opinion (tank)

At this minute, we're picking 20th. But yeah let's use draft assets to sign a Dalton or some other QB Phil likes. Unproven defense, no running game. Sure! Whoo-hoo!

Will be interesting what we do in here before the trade deadline.

I think we'd nuts to not be sellers.

It’s ok Bill. Kwesi will do the opposite of what you suggest. So probably Dalton and Chase Young/Sweat

2-5 Denver leading KC 21-9. Chip away at the higher draft position. One game at a time and all those other cliches!
