Sorry but injury or not, this team was not going anywhere anyway.

GB looked historically bad ... unbelievably bad ... and they stayed within one extra stupid play by us or one lucky play from them of making it another one score game.

The SF game was a mirage. May have been the high point of the season. We'll never know but we looked no better than a 4-4 team today even with our chosen one at QB.

I know I was hoping we turned a corner but today was just more of the same.

I hate to see Cousins get injured. I don't like him, I've wanted him gone – but not like this, absent of any serious contingency plan.

Plus ... IMO Cousins was missing some critical QB traits ... but the goofus had a really good arm and always gave 150% / always maximized what he did have ...

It's not a fair way to end your Vikings career.

At this point, I really hope we do not expend 2024 draft resources for a QB. Why do that? To salvage an ok season? And shoot yourself in the foot in the next draft?

I wouldn't trade a player either (for a QB). Only for draft assets.

We are in the end game now for the next Vikings QB ...

It's a real shame we won the last 3 and then had this happen. It's full tank time now, trade everyone you can and start over. There is no other responsible choice.

A few people are really really expensive, but everyone is available.

What are we trading them for? Drake Maye?

Trade Cleveland, sign a FA QB and see where we can go.

We need the worst record to get Williams. Not happening. AZ, CHI(2), NE will all have worse records than us. Unless we blatantly throw games.

We're trading them for draft picks mainly unless you can get young talent that is stuck behind veteran talent.

More should be expected from a 1st rounder, but not our batch of QBs drafted late or acquired it often seems as afterthoughts or as better coaches than players or as projects. And sure, we should have a top backup. But we have been very cap strapped at least the past two offseasons.

Sure Bill owes me thousands of virtual dollars, but I agree with him and BStinger, it's time to trade Hunter. And be happy if you can get a 2nd for him.

I can’t imagine who and where all that cap money was tied up…

Seems like an arrow is pointing at an Achilles heel…

A fatal flaw in the legend of greatness..

He owes you nothing, Marty…

You can’t place a bet unless both parties agree to terms..

If we use your ****ing logic, I’ll bet a million yuan that you wil insist he owes you “ thousands of virtual “ dollars..

Just sTFU.

He is a f****** imbecile looking for attention and resorts to made up shit because he gets obliterated otherwise. FU Marty and your made up "bragging rights". He seriously says this stuff and doesn't care that he comes across as a loon.

Currently, as posted by a prominent poster earlier, he's butt hurt from my take on shitty Jordan Love... who any observer sees is bad. And his no talent 2-5 ass clown packers got smacked, LMAO!

The way it works is he'll be too chicken shit to take the bet (which was NA anyway due to the name), rhetorically say he'd take it at 6-1 odds, then when you don't reply he'd say, in order, you owe him thousands in cash, thousands in virtual cash, then he has bragging rights.

He has the mind of a six year old, and that's an insult to six year olds.

Update fron the road. 4 hours down, 3 to go. Outside of lambeau is football heaven. Inside is crap. Sorry to see Kirk get hurt. Carson Wentz could win with this roster.

Repeatedly posting and whining about his lost $1500 because he was too stupid and wussy to man up and make the bet at the first casino? Priceless!

Saying I owe money based on a fabricated scenario that makes no sense? Pathetic!

Commonality? Marty.

That's good enough for now

Wentz is the unemployed guy who had a 34.4 QBR in 2022, right?

How many of the 10 passes were first downs?

Edit - Looks like about 7 of 11. There were also penalties, sacks, and a goal to go which I didn't count.

Herbert 18 of 20 vs Chi so far. 90% completion rate!

Darn near his 85% against us with like 40 something passes.

I don’t remember winning on Monday night and then winning at GB the next Sunday. Some say tear it apart. Maybe Hall is our 22 Purdy

We have three players with Hall of Fame potential talent. Jefferson, Darrisaw and Hunter. When you have players of that caliber you need to keep them on your team. They should not trade any of them.

Either extend or trade Hunter. You CAN NOT keep him in a worthless season and let him walk next year for nothing.

Extending him makes sense. If he refuses to extend, then trading him becomes an option. We will have months to discuss, but there really is no cap issue.

Our kryptonite still is our running game. Hall was the qb after Wilson at BYU and was pretty good.

I guess we will see next week.

Vike fans deserve a HOF qb story.

Whether it's Hall turning into 2nd coming of Brady.
Or drafting and hitting on the next Mahomes.

It's time.

Dan, you and Bill are a hoot.

I wouldn't make any sort of legitimate bet with someone like Bill, he is the type that would never pay up, that is why I called it virtual dollars.

He was wrong, and I was right about both Doubs and Hock scoring, I am happy to have bragging rights.

Although I wanted a little more time to think about it, I was willing to make the bet on the Vikings turning the ball on their first possession against SF. I went to the counter at South Point with every intention of doing so. Because of F1 (the racing thing happening in Vegas in November), I didn't think I would have time to get back to Harrah's to make that winning bet.

Although I didn't get the bet in, I was also right about the Vikings again turning the ball over on their first possession against SF. So both you guys can STFU.

And you know this how?

So they will have to work to extend him, and if that falls through then work a trade... all by tomorrow? If Hunter has Hall of Fame potential as you say, and by most any account is having a great statistical season, then why isn't he already extended?

I think the regime knew/knows they cannot afford neither Hunter or Cousins, hence the regime is letting them hit free agency.

Kwesi kept wanting to give him one year band aid deals. Hunter said this is the last one by removing the franchise tag option.

Thought he should have gave him a 5 year deal this last off season with an out after 3 years. An edge rusher of Hunters caliber are mandatory in todays NFL.
