I guess we have the answer:

Minnesota Vikings@Vikings
Head Coach Kevin O’Connell announces that Jaren Hall will back up Nick Mullens Saturday and Joshua Dobbs will serve as the emergency 3rd QB.

Is Hall now #2 ?

According to this article, KOC might have Mullens on a short leash, in favor of a switch to Hall:

"2023 Unofficial Vikings Depth Chart"

Yes, but it did list Mullins as #1 meaning to me its prob accurate

So.. what a veteran QB is saying is Dobbs wasn’t help out by all the drops..

Maybe his throws are to forced and bad placement..

If he hung JJ out to dry…

I want Hall to get snaps.. we are chasing mediocrity with Mullet ..

We need to see if there is anything KOC can do to generate offensive production consistently.

I suppose Mullet is our best roster option, but I don’t like it.. chasing mediocrity..

Cousins was 4-4. The backups are 3-2, without Jefferson.

What was the defense ranked early in the year versus now?

The offense lost Jefferson and has gone 3-2 with Josh Dobbs as a starter. Kirk Cousins went 4-4 with Jefferson. That's what the conversation was about.

Cousins went 2-0 without Jefferson.

And 2-4 with him. Maybe Jefferson is the problem.

Interesting. If Dobbs starts one more game, the Cards get to keep their 7th Round pick.

With so much personnel turnover, especially at QB, Kevin O'Connell is calling the Vikings' offense "week-to-week."

This week:

QB1: Nick Mullens
QB2: Jaren Hall
QB3: Josh Dobbs

RB1: Ty Chandler
RB2: Kene Nwangwu

RT1: David Quessenberry

Chandler 1 Nwangwu 2 is the best 1-2 we’ve had all year.

I think Dobbs had success early because teams prepared for an accurate stationary passing QB in Cousins.

Dobbs was an athletic force that caught them off guard, and he isn't accurate. Once teams adjusted, Dobbs turned into a pumpkin. There is a reason he has bounced around.

Would rather play Hall the final couple games of the season and get a clear picture for next season if playoffs become impossible.

TBH, I’d rather see Hall, as well..

We need to see if KOC is capable of working with a Mobil QB or not..

Patrick MaHomes, Jalen Hurts, Fields, Allen, lots of other offensive minds can design a “ non pocket only, strictly drop back “ passing game with RPO QB’s.

KOC is missing the bus, as far as where the QB position is heading in the NFL.

Cullpepper in Greens offense with “3DEEP”, was the last time we had that look..

And it was wildly successful.

JMO.

Missing the bus and 3 deep? He had Addison and Powell helping when JJ went down and TJ joined the party too but only Addison and JJ are dynamic. Who is the third in 3 deep?

If you follow the season we were rolling against SF and GB.....with a myriad of issues at QB. 1) Mullens hurt his back, 2) Kirk's achilles, 3) Dobbs good for 2; bad for 1, horrible for 1. 4) Mullens back is healed.....KOC to blame?

It’s on KOC, 100%..

His offense reeks of play not to lose, but throw in a trick play now and then because ..TeeHee.. I can call whatever I want….

His playcalling is downright stupid.

He forces square pegs into round holes on every other fn Down and distance…

His “ script” is predictable .

I see more WTF exclamations in the GD thread, because other people see the same things I see..

KOC is not ready for prime time and his play calling sucks.

We literally heard it from KOC's own mouth. Any other sources are just repeating what he said.

It’s a non starter for me to kick the can down the road to get 50-70% of a season out of him.

Lots of teams make the playoffs with four starting QBs

Oh yeah, no they don’t.

Maybe the next QB will be a vaccinated atheist. That would seem to help a lot.

Dobbs almost having 6 INTS against Chicago was on KOC? Throwing high to JJ on a 15 yard slant and nowhere near Nailor on 3rd of 4 amid many other passes was on KOC?

How do you scheme better when the guy isn't accurate and teams can stop him from rolling out right?

Ill hang up and wait.

I think It's safe to say Dobbs was a turnover machine before he got here. He had 8 fumbles and 5 int in Arizona.

I apologize to Brian Flores for underestimating his defense.

The team we just shut out on Sunday currently has 63 points with almost 9 minutes left to play.

Sign him to a lifetime contract.

Wait weren’t you on Dobbs side just a game or two ago? They aren’t Kirk guys, none of the three and you complained about Kirk and wanting a mobile QB. You got mobile and now want accurate. Lol

It isn’t KOC. It is an NFL shortage of QB talent.
