How are the Chiefs allowed to lineup their tackles 2 yards off the ball?

They pointed out during the broadcast that the Lions coaches needed to say something because it wasn't being called.

Joel Klatt just made a joke about it too during the Neb/Col game. That’s how obvious it was. That’s not a knock on Klatt, just saying it’s a game that has nothing to do with that game and he still said it.

i question our move toward more 12 personnel for our offense....with nailor healthy, our receivers #1-#4 are top 5 in the league...defenses have to double team jefferson every down...with osborn, addison, and nailor we're going to be much quicker than last season....

That might be a little premature.

Unless you're saying JJ alone makes us a Top 5 unit.

Bleacher report ... which doesn't mean a lot ...

so lets just say a non-vikings fan

doesn't have us in the top 7 for WR trios

Rat has a good point but we really need to see how good Addison really is first.

On a spectrum of Reagor ------- Jefferson where do you honestly feel he'll be this year?

Kelce didn't play. It might as well have been the Vikings without Jefferson. KC still would have won if not for the drop that turned into the pick 6. Detroit doesn't concern me.

Still not easy winning at Arrow Head. Don't undersell this lions squad.

For sure. In 2019 we went in there and couldn't beat them with Matt Moore in place of Mahomes.

Why would we be concerned? They only went 8-2 down the stretch last year and beat the best qb this year on opening day in his house. Scrubs!

How do you think the Vikings would do without JJ and Hunter. Chefs were playing under those circumstances.

Mahomes is the best qb in the league. Them not having Kelce is a cop out. When Cousins is as good as Mahomes I think we'd do fine offensively without JJ.

Well Mahomes didn't do well without Kelce. Just the way it was. Without Kelce the Chiefs might have the worst receiving corp in the NFL. Compare it to ours without Jefferson. We still have Addison, Osborn and Hockenson. I'd sure take that over Scantling, Toney, Hill and Moore. I'll give Detroit credit for taking care of business when the Chiefs were missing there 2nd and 3rd best players, gifted them a pick 6 and wimped out going for a FG when they needed a TD to ice the game.

If Toney doesn't drop those passes, KC wins and noone is going to say Mahomes didn't do well without Kelce, imo. And on the last drive that last drop was followed up with a 1st down catch inside Det 40 but called back for holding.

But maybe you're right, Kelce would of helped them convert on 2nd/3rd & 20 and 4th & 25, what do I know. Detroit played a lot better than I'm giving them credit for I'm sure

He would have helped them convert on those plays, but moreso they wouldn't have needed to convert on those to win the game. Those situations probably don't come up. The KC WR group is shockingly bad.

I’m more worried about his durability than his ability.

But on a range of a 1st round bust to arguably the best WR in the game. I’m hoping he can be at maybe the 60% mark as a rookie.

Geezuz what do we have to do (other than tank) to get in position to draft Deion’s kid?
Holy hell we’d be set up for years.

Is Deion's kid a sure fire NFL star? I haven't heard that so far.

A report is out that JJ and the Vikings have broken off contract talks and won't revisit them until next year.

I personally don't believe this means we won't get a deal done during the season.

Opens up the possibility of an off season mega trade where we end up with the #1 pick.

I’m 100% for it.

I think it's wrong to say if Kelce played, KC wins by 3 TDs.

That's assuming you plug him in and KC gets several TDs, while everything else is the same.

I think Detroit might have just countered and scored, maybe Montgomery breaks a 60 yard TD. Detroit was fighting for respect, and to show they're not just hype, that last year's season ending was not a fluke.

Wow, he's like 70 for 90, 900 yards, 6 TD, 0 Int against Neb and TCU. Yet he is -31 yards per game rushing (probably def. pressure as he has a lot of sacks). Never saw him play, that just seems strange being he is Deion's son.

TB has a new OC, new QB, new scheme possibly based on the run game opening up play action.

Get to Mayfield early and often.

I haven't seen him either but I lost some money on that first game so I didn't touch it the second - seeing if it was for real. I never heard of him until last week. Shows you how much I was paying attention.

Some speculation on Twitter re Jefferson's contract situation that he may want some "clarity on Cousins' future on the team" (because he wants to play with him) before he signs. ha ha, love it!

I’ve spent all offseason tamping down my expectations. It just doesn’t feel like Murphy, Oliver, Davenport, Addison and Flores (along with the subtractions) add up to something significant over last year. On paper.

The decisions seem mostly strategic (Flores / run game), with Murphy and maybe Addison the only solid upgrades. On paper. Hopefully the regime’s decisions compound into something better than the individual parts. It’s very possible.

Kevin and Kwesi aren’t the only smart dudes in the room, the league is full of them. But based on how they contrived 13 wins last year with IMO a barely above average team - they are no slouches either. We have a chance for something better.

All the offseason debate is in the books. Thank God the season is here.

I’ve seen both his games and the kid can do it all. Cannon arm, great mobility, good decisions ect. His running stats are that because he doesn’t just take off. He moves around the pocket to make a throw. My only thought is how does he work with another coach? It’s been his dad his whole life.

I doubt it’s an issue but you never know. He’s quickly rising and is probably a #3 overall pick at this point, at worst.

He was a mid round pick going into this season. Good, but not great arm. Really odd mechanics.

But he totally overhauled his mechanics over the summer. He’s quicker and more compact getting rid of the ball and his deep ball seems to have more “oomph” on it.

Oh I’m up…

Was just doing some yard fall prep like crabgrass preventer and setting up the sprinklers.. in my purple speedo And game day hat and sandals…

Going to a bar with my wife to watc the game.. wearing my Allan page throwback, to inspire the defense.

If JJ has a bromance on KFC, that’s his problem.

If he won’t sign an extension, we will get a 1st round pic as compensation for any trade..

I’ll feel bad for everyone who bought his jersey, but not for this team, I learned that the hard ways with my #28 PETERSON

Should have bought a Winfield instead.

Package JJ and some first round picks for Caleb Williams, that might work.
