I haven't watched a lot of NBA over the years, is the showboating like McDaniels tried to do near the end of the game something to be concerned about ?

It reminded me of Leon Lett nearing the end zone in the Super Bowl, only to get the ball knocked away.

Next year, against Denver, I wouldn't be surprised if he received a rather hard foul.

I wouldn't be surprised if nobody on Denver's gives a rats ass about it next year.

Tough loss. Edward appears either hurt or exhausted.

He wore himself out. Really didn't play well and made a lot of extra work for himself.

He was 2 assists from a triple/double, but he appeared tired most of the game. Hopefully he comes back with his normal energy.

The Wolves let a 2-man team beat their 8-man team on homecourt. Unacceptable.

He shot poorly, was sporadic on defense, and made some questionable decisions with the ball. The rebounds and assists were nice, but I wouldn't call this one of his better playoff efforts.

Dallas did a good job defending Edwards and they never found a solution. They started settling for 3s way too much.

All year long people talked about our depth, but they’ve gotten nothing out of NAW in the playoffs, Not much out of Anderson until last night when he got a few points because Dallas doesn’t even bother defending him. That leaves basically a one man bench of Naz. I fear the regulars will get worn out. The only thing that saved some minutes in the Denver series was the blowouts when they could clear the bench. I don’t think that will happen in this series. The games will be close.

I don’t know why they don’t rotate Monte in a bit. Yes I know his limitations but he’s a veteran guy who knows what he’s doing.

I don't understand why NAW just once doesn't take it to the hole. His 3's aren't always wide open. It also hurt that basically Ant, KAT, or Conley had their shot falling.

Because he turns it over when he tries.

I'm surprised Edwards never went to his mid range game. Dallas did what everyone else did. Double him out high and retreat to the rim when he drove. Edwards kept trying to get to the rim when the area was packed. In past games Edwards would pull up or step back and pop little 15 footers. Last night he fought forward until there was no real-estate and try to kick out.

The bench has been disappointing in the playoffs. NAW has been useless in the last few games. He can't hit a shot to save his soul and his defense has been up and down. Murray absolutely abused him in game 7. Even Naz has been up and down to a degree.

The goal tending mistake by KAT, and was it Conley or McDaniels that missed the 2nd shot of his 3 free throws seemed to be key moments in the last game.

The encouraging thing is that in a game where none of stars played particularly well, the Wolves only lost by 3.

The biggest problems that I saw were the type that are very correctable. Too many players passed up open shots to make that one extra pass. Edwards seemed unsure of how to attack. Towns missed shots, he normally makes. Trying to make last millisecond passes through the congestion under the basket. Rudy swatting rebounds he had a chance to grab.

My prediction, for what it's worth, is that the Wolves come out pissed off and focused. I expect a very different game.

Nothing about the last game felt like the Denver series. That series was a heavyweight slugfest. Game 1 vs Dallas felt like a Random November game…if we win, fine, if not, oh well.

Reports say Finch had a harsh film session and called them out for their failures. Hopefully it makes a difference. If they can give a poor effort and only lose by 3, they should be able to get this thing turned around.

I couldn't put my finger on it, but yeah, "Random November game."

Mercurial team. Back to playoff mode, tonight.

It felt like to me the Timberwolves had the better team, but were out coached.

The Mavericks won, despite Doncic being held in check most of the game.

Kyrie seems like more of a matchup problem for Edwards, and I wonder if they would be better off primarily putting McDaniels, or someone else on Kyrie.

After watching the Denver series, it seems like the T-Wolves really thrive as an underdog, and don't do well as a favorite.

So it probably won't be surprising if the T-Wolves lose again tonight, but then go into Dallas in win the next 2 games there.

I am not good at finding these sorts of things:

In the NBA, what % of teams that have knocked off the previous champs went on to win the Championship that season ?

I am going to guess around 40%.
