I would say Dallas is a better team.

Mostly because they have two superstar shot creators to our one. And our guy needs to work a whole lot harder than theirs to get his shot.

They also, and I hate to say this, appear to be better coached. Everyone on the Mavs knows their role and they all work in sync together. Something we've struggled with all season.

I agree. The 2 centers for Dallas end up with easy shots when Lukka and Kyrie can't get a shot....they are not only creating for themselves but for others. Ant just isn't as good at creating for others. KAT has to show up tonight....that would help.

Denver - Murray had a big guy that could score in Jokic
Dallas - Kyrie has a big guy that can score in Luka,
I was guessing he was center, but I guess he isn't as tall as I thought

Minnesota - Edwards has the combo of Rudy and KAT, a big combo that doesn't score in playoff games

Could the Wolves trade KAT during the off-season, and then trade for or sign a big guy that can score like Durant, Giannis, I heard the guy from Phoenix, maybe someone else ?

Is there someone like that out there and available?

He really is. His passing throughout the playoffs has been tremendous. Unfortunately he's reliant on his teammates hitting the wide-open 3s he's generating for them and they've failed miserably all series (and through much of the Denver one).

The Mavs centers are both excellent rim runners/rollers. Rudy tries, but he absolutely can't catch the ball while moving and KAT has always been poor moving off the ball.

Which team has the best chance to lift the Larry Brown Trophy? Probably the Celtics?

Something interesting to think about.

Right now the Texas Rangers (who play in Dallas) are the world champs in MLB
The Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars are both very much alive in the NBA and NHL

It is conceivable that three of the four major sports could have their champion be from Dallas this year.

At least the Cowboys keep finding ways to blow it.

God I hate Dallas sports teams

Dallas.

Boston has not looked great against anyone in the Playoffs - and they've had the softest path to the finals I've ever seen.

Didn't Denver face 3 play in teams last year?

Yup.

But they faced 3 Western Conference teams.

I find it amazing that no NBA team has ever come back from down 3-0. I get that it should be exceedingly rare, but not once?

So what are The Wolves chances? I say extremely slim but not zero. The reason it hasn’t happened is, of course in order to get down 3-0 the better team has won. So the odds of a worse team winning 4 straight is minuscule.

If ever a team could do it though, it would be a series like this. Dallas is not a clearly better team. They are roughly equal say. They have just won 3 coin flips in a row.

So do I expect the Wolves to make history? No. Bit the chance is not zero, as history might suggest. They’d have to now win 4 coin flips in a row. The chance of doing that is 1/16.

Basically agree with you. Want to comment many years back I heard an explanation about sports analysis that made a lot of sense to me. You can have sports like hockey or baseball where scoring takes one, or maybe several fairly low likelihood events, that don't occur often. This makes them prone to more upsets because an inferior team can literally just get lucky. Sports like basketball with lets say 80 shots per team, with a success rate of 40+% is far more likely to return a win to the superior talented team. The great majority of the time a few lucky plays will not be enough to change the result.

So the question (for me) becomes can the Wolves be the superior team for 4 games straight. I am convinced playing their best they can beat any team in the NBA, but they have had serious issues with consistency. Just for prides sake I sure hope they shine tonight.

Boston has been the odds on favorite in Vegas to win the trophy.

Because they've had the easiest path to get there. Its where all the money has gone.

The West was much more wide open, so the money was split.

I want to see Towns traded in the off-season. I'm sick of his relentless stupidity and chronic underachieving. The Wolves are paying Towns to be the second option and he's never going to be that.
