ORIGINAL: Todd M Since Darnold got hit in the ribs he hasn’t been the same. Just compare the deep ball to Jefferson week 2 to the under thrown one to Addison last week. I wouldn’t sell the farm when all we have is a small hobby farm as an asset and Darnold isn’t winning us a championship this year. If he completes the pass to Nailor in the final minutes the Vikings are 6-0, with dominating wins over San Francisco, Houston and Green Bay (three of the better teams in football). Has he been perfect? No. Has he been a pleasant surprise? I'm guessing most would say yes. Lets not forget, the easy part of the schedule is just starting. The first six games was the hard part. If the Vikings continue to play like they have been playing over the next eight weeks, it is not hard to imagine them being 11-3-ish through 14 games, or maybe even better. I don't think anyone saw 5-1 coming when the season started. Myself, I am excited to see what happens once Hockenson returns. That is a large part of the offense that has been missing.
