Meh....

The defense got no pressure on Stafford. None.

Nailor dropped a 3rd down pass that would have kept a drive going in the RZ.

How many first downs did we give them on 3rd down via penalty?

Playcalling on offense and defense was lame.

And lastly......I've bitched about them so many times - in wins and losses - but the refs are ****ing brutal.

It sounds dumb, but I invest time and emotion into watching these games and cheering for my team, just to have this shit happen over and over. There is NO excuse for them missing that call in the EZ. Period. If that's how much they want to spend on getting this critical part of their product right, then I guess I'm gonna go back to not really watching or caring anymore. I'm sure that sounds like a fatalistic overreaction or hyperbole, but it's like I was having this great meal for like 3 hours, then the waiter came and shit on the table and delivered a bill for $500. No thanks.

Can't argue with that take. The face mask penalty was terrible but some of the other PI calls on our defense were phantom at best. Looked like the NFL really wanted the Rams to win and were willing to cheat us in order to achieve their goal. Really makes me question why I remain invested in a sport that has little to no integrity.

Fun fact: The Vikes are #6 for defense in points allowed at 17.8 and #6 in offense for points scored at 28.0. Anytime you are in the top ten in both of those categories history says you are a legit super bowl contender. Skol!

For the first 6 games of the season? That makes us SB contenders?

Our stage 1 rocket booster just disengaged.

We are currently trying to course correct our trajectory from the last 8 qtrs (ie, orbiting with all the want-to-be contender space trash), to where we were first half into the GB game - heading for a gluttonous tailgate bbq in Asgard.

The first third of the season is its own season. Teams are figuring out what they’re good / bad at and adjusting. Especially with no preseason.

Lift-off was cool. Now we start to find out how real or fictional our incredible start was.

You have PTSD. Understandable.

Why should we believe?

We have to believe.

The season is a marathon, not a sprint. What, did you people think we were going to hoist the Lombardi Trophy after last night?

It's a process and a war of attrition.

Next step, figure out our issue at left tackle. How bad was the injury, etc.....

People were saying last night that teams had figured out Flores’ Defense.

What was there to figure out?! Talk all year how we were confusing QB’s and we did nothing all game. Just a standard “rush” where no one had any fight in them. Nobody winning individual battles and nothing drawn up to generate pressure.

Was wanting to see how a normal defensive scheme would fare. The answer is not good. Which highlights the lack of talent.

Flores has done wonders masking that lack of talent. Maybe the standard rush was his counter. I don't see any other counters so it's live by chaos and die by chaos.

Minnesota Vikings left tackle Christian Darrisaw was walking with crutches Thursday night after suffering a left knee injury in the second quarter of his team's 30-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Ya got 10 days before you need to get back out there Darrisaw, no excuses!

I think the Nakua thing completely caught them off guard. 24 hours earlier he wasn't even supposed to play. The Vikings made adjustments and limited his opportunities in the second half, but they looked as if they were caught off-guard.

At the end of the day, Minnesota had a very good chance to win this game. The Nailor drop was brutal. The defensive holding call and missed facemask were brutal. The defense gave up too many big plays. It happens during the course of a season.

IMO, Darnold played well. I hated the sack he took on the second to last drive, but I'm not sure there was much he could do about it. He was stuck in the pocket with nowhere to go and the floodgates up front were wide open. Once Darrisaw went down, it was a different offense.

My concern on this team is depth. We saw the same thing when Aaron Jones went down in a game. Once that happened, the offense completely changed and was ineffective.

Exactly. We’re not playing my dude against your dude.

Its more, sneak around and get a kidney punch in there, point to the sky and get a nut tap in there.

Grenard Cashman Ginkel were money well spent. Our dl and secondary are pedestrian, you can only disguise that part of the time.

Unless you're fixing the game for the Rams, just call the obvious facemask penalty, and let the Vikings lose on their own merit. Thank you.

The play and the game was over, with or without the face mask.

No calls and bad calls suck but putting any emphasis on that is arguing over your haircut when they’re about to cut off your head.

Freaking sloppy play had everything to do with the refs. The refs … nothing to do with it.

The Rams got plenty of help on 3rd downs throughout the game. It was like a broken record every 3rd down the zebras bailed them out.

However, clearly O'Connell and Flores got out coached badly in the second half.

The holding call on Murphy in the first quarter was complete bullshit. Otherwise I can't really complain about the 3rd down penalties. Looked like they were guilty as charged.

The Rams copied the Lions playbook. Up the tempo of the offense and use max protection schemes and Flores couldn't adjust. The max protection is the key. Without the disruptive pass rush our weak db's are exposed. Gilmore in particular was flat out abused.

Darrisaw out for the year

A clear take a knee scenario and KOC decides to get cute. No our best online man is done for the year. Just like when he picks the dumbest situations to run gadget plays.

Fire KAM..

Seriously..

What did we give up for Hockenson, and Dallas” McPenalty” Turner?

Who did we pass on to trade for Turner?

Fn IDIOT.
year after year.. season after season.. decades after decade….

I told you all the Brett Favre was fools gold.but no.. I was shouted down... and it ended sooo well…

Here we are an entire generation, almost, past that debacle…

Still thinking “ one guy, just one guy.. that’s all we need..”

McVay gets back 2 key players, and punks us like the idiot fifth graders we are..

All Hail KOC an KAM, and BFlo!!

It’s the players fault..they gotta make plays..

JFC…

Doormat teams in other division and our own, make management changes and become dominant teams..

We make changes.. get One season of success, then flounder around like idiots for 2-3 years before even thinking about making changes.. AFTER, handing out hundreds of millions in guarantees to player who bust out laughing as soon as they are out of earshot of management..

Two days after that bad loss it still sucks. However, I remind myself that this team had a very low expectations heading into the season and we are doing alright. We have had injuries with the latest being Darrisaw and that one hurts the most and I think Darnold is going to struggle with the pressure. Our coaches need to get their crap together and make adjustments to fix schemes, etc. Good thing our schedule should help us get things moving in the right direction.
Let's not give up the Viking ship yet. SKOL!!!!

I don’t think we bounce back at all.

The slide started when Kevin held Hock back. It changed morale.

Now he’s I can’t believe he didn’t take a knee! More lost trust.

Vibes matter. Kevin ruined ours.

Kwesi was getting a lot of love early but I’m with Dan on walking that back.

Top DE picks should be in the mix for DROY and ours isn’t doing shit. For all those picks. Real bad.
