I haven’t given any grief to Cashman for his stupid sore toe.

Stupid Cashman.

There, I feel better.

I haven't checked with Marty on this, but he may have allowed his toe to be hurt just to piss you off.

They already did the hot start tease to mess with me so I’m not putting anything by them.

Could this be the 3rd time we started 5-0 and missed the playoffs?

Obviously Cashman felt underappreciated (Van Ginkel or Flores getting all the credit), so he allowed himself to be hurt, to show the defense needs him.

The Vikings are NOT going to miss the playoffs, they will make the playoffs, and probably be one and done.

I wish I viewed our upcoming schedule as easy like I did a few weeks ago. I see no for sure wins.

If it’s a record that no team has started out 5-0 3 times and missed the playoffs I could then very much see it.

Kwesi was getting a lot of love early but I’m with Dan on walking that back.

Top DE picks should be in the mix for DROY and ours isn’t doing shit. For all those picks. Real bad.

The 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th picks (with a 7th in return)? Those picks?

The journey is supposed to matter but this franchise is meandering around in circles. I almost wish I could be off the grid save for the day after the SB. Check to see if the Vikes won it and if they did watch the America’s Game tape. Waiting and hoping decade after decade seems kind of dumb to me right about now.

Plus a 4th and a 5th for JJM when we likely could have stayed at 11.

That’s a lot of depth.

And I was on record as well on with the picks for turner…bc I expected a stud.

Exactly..

One year FA rentals and moving up to draft a guy who is a net negative..

That is some damn lousy Draft management, right there.

We go into next year with exactly 3 draft picks.. and half our defense will be Free agents, yet again.

I don’t expect to ever see this team, do anything significant in the division or the playoffs, until management decides to get its head out of the “ we can win now” shitbox..

Detroit and Chicago took their lumps for years.. they have made some bad calls, but overall.. investing in wise draft picks and avoiding the FA fools gold, has made them competitive.

I don’t know mich about them, draft wise or future cap wise, but for all the crap we have thrown at those franchises, they are making us look like first order pretenders and frauds..

Such a nice feeling.

I’m getting out the trenching shovel..my “expectations bar” needs to be moved where it belongs.

We’re the only ones to do that twice? That makes me sad.

3 times would be a forever thing.

We can’t let that happen.

That's not going to happen.

Did everybody forget we're 5-2 and in SB contention?

We still have O'Neill on the OL. We can have Darnold standing behind him the whole time. There has to be a way for Kevin to scheme this.

Not only that but really, a negative swirling vortex at LT, LG, C, and RG makes it harder for DL and blitzers because they're falling all over themselves.

Maybe instead of hiding behind him, O'Neill and Darnold could do this:

Or better, if Kevin could draw up a Quato scheme somehow, O'Neill could hide Darnold under his shirt until he's ready to release the ball.

Its not over until the fat baby embedded man thing sings!

Trade 2 1sts for Dexter Lawrence (Kwesi doesn't know how to draft anyway, and has done pretty well with FAs and trades).

Lawrence can help build a nice foundation for McCarthy next year.

Sitting around this morning thinking about which teams are bad for certain mental health issues.

Like if you were depressed it’s probably not good to be a Browns fan.

If you had a dopamine dependency it probably would be hard to be a Patriots fan. They won so much a lit up the reward center so often they’ll struggle to be placated. Chiefs will get to the same place.

What would the Vikings be? PTSD jumps out. Anxiety Disorders? What about Borderline Personality Disorder? That’s a shitty one.

Tough to be a Vikings fan.

What would you say the Vikings represent?

Thoughts on other teams?

One thing I struggle with is - if the Vikings lose it means I’m a loser.

Like I picture old shitty friends noting Vikings’ failures and having a laugh about it at my expense. Not as bad but common is just feeling a connection to their failures as a reflection of mine.

loyalty....

i see being a vikings fan as character building...still wouldn't trade them for any other team....

That's why we have our little on line support group.

Based on your doom and gloom post, that's merely an early look at some facets of the offseason. Except for the 'need to upgrade' positions, it's straight facts homey.

NFL fans are justified laughing at the Vikings.

All out hearty laugh:
- Jim Marshall running the wrong way for a TD.
- Not getting the draft card in on time.

Good for a Hey What About chuckle:
- Loveboat.
- Metrodome roof collapsing.

The old classics:
- 4 lost Super Bowls.
- Cowboys Hail Mary.
- Herchel Walker trade.

Probably not that widely known:
- Ontario "Whizzinator" Smith
- Something with Adrian Peterson and a stick... maybe while riding a camel?
