I don't like that the Rams game is at night, it makes the scenario to similar to when the Vikings lost to the Lions and then the Rams earlier in the season.

The Vikings don't matchup well against the Lions or the Rams, but who knows, anything can happen.

I don't like the Monday Night nonsense. How hard is it to put 3 games each day? I know they're doing it to get 3 prime time games but it's getting out of hand.

Still with a huge sour taste in my mouth. Can’t bear to watch a second of NFLN.

I still can’t believe Sam’s #’s. For a month the Lions let in scores and yards like it was nothing. They weren’t healthier by the time we got them and lost a starting CB in game.

I guess I should believe it. Very Vikingesque for ‘The story of the year’ to implode like that when Sam should have feasted. Sam is THE Choker right now.

I know this is all about our Purple and Gold, but I have to mention that my NDSU Bison are national champions once again! Great game to watch.

This was literally the first big game of Sam's career. It's entirely possible that he learns from it, dusts himself off, gets pissed off and comes back with a vengeance in the playoffs.

Of course it's also possible that Sam isn't cut out for the big moments.

You're absolutely right. The look on his face on Sunday doesn't give me much confidence. We'll find out in short order.

I think Sam will be good for one game against the mediocre Rams defense, maybe enough to bring a win.

If that happens, then it's either lose to the Lions a 3rd time, or beat the Commandments at home.

At least with Cousins, being chased by Egyptians to the edge of the Red Sea was a metaphor... Darnold thought it was really happening.

Darnold explained his "I'm seeing ghosts" comment to the coaches. Said he has to see the field better. Says he has to learn from his mistakes.

That was in 2019. Pre-COVID.

He certainly has learned. All the passes into tight windows. The downfield throws. The TDs.

Then the bright lights came on in one of the most important games to the franchise this quarter century. And he channeled his inner Josh Freeman. Workers are still finding footballs in the bleacher seats. Nothing to do with physical ability or seeing the field.

So now we wait.

But as of now, no way does that choke artist belong on the team next year. We just had a big time choker and was able to get rid of him!

Every QB experiences "the biggest game of his life so far" as they progress in big games involving the post-season.

A select few embrace the big lights. Icewater. Nerves of steel.

Many play ok.

A select few see only headlights. Ghosts. Chokers.

The good news is that Cowherd just said that he's talked to multiple current GM's who say that JJM would be the #1 QB prospect if he stayed in school. Ahead of Sanders and Ward. Might be a really nice problem to have.

The only “ problem” is getting him reps in preseason, and getting him comfortable behind a human garbage pail of an offensive line..

We have three picks, about 20 holes to fill on the active roster,…

and a horrible offensive line..

that gets bull rushed,…. speed rushed, and stunt rushed.. into wet toilet paper in a blender, in critical passing situations..

And no player able to add to max protect , goal line run push, or fast and athletic enough to execute a screen play..

If we don’t fix the offensive line..

JJM would be smart to take out “ career ending injury or “ season ending injury” insurance..

Well that's something. Since we can't compare JJM with the progress of his own draft class.

Dan Campbell is probably going to get COTY..

The media has a slobber fest over him already, and every Winn from here on out will cement that..

Anyone wanna bet on the results of their first playoff game, after WCW?

If.. and that’s a big IF.. we can win @ the Rams.. it’s the exact same matchup, we saw Sunday night..

Do you have any faith?

I. DO. Not.

Its only been since like 2012 (Hutchinson) since we threw big money at a significant IOLineman. I guess Boone in 2016 but he was released the following year.

For whatever reason we just don't go there.

Our only chance is to go the undrafted FA route. Give someone a 20K signing bonus.

I have consistently said that this team was not as good as its record. As fun as every win has been.

I was egregiously wrong about 5-7 wins before the season but, in my book, losing to the Lions and then losing to the Rams will set us back to the stone age.

To start with, KOC and KAM will feel even more emboldened in 'The Plan' because of their regular season record. Like they did after 2022 when we stunk it up to close out the season.

I am praying we do better Monday, I will revel in it if we do. But that is not my expectation ... no tamping down necessary.

It’s not just that we lost it’s the 5 and 30 year lows for RZ success rate. One game or not this defines choking.

There's no way to sugar coat it. It was a choking masterpiece. 9 points to one of the leagues worst defenses the last 8 weeks? No TDs? Choking clinic.

I've been trying to console myself in the brightside is that they won't dare waste $50 mil a year they don't have on Darnold.

Look, the guy proved me wrong all season, and I became a believer, but I think it would be a terrible decision to sign him long term. Get out while his stock is high, he will only go down from here.

The talking heads in the media keep talking how it would be crazy to not resign him. Of course, they have no idea, the team basically has no CBs going into next year, the IOL is still not great, and the D line is being held together with fringe NFL players.

For as much as I despise Kwesi's drafts, he's done a great job in cap space and FA. Don't waste it now on a guy who likely has hit his peak, we will be in Cousins 2.0 all over again.

The team has a chance to get some qualify FAs next year. They are very lean on draft picks next year. Don't blow it.
