Chris collinsworthless couldn’t find his ass with both hands if he was sitting on them.

The most underrated player on this defense right now is Shaq Griffin, who gave up 0 receiving yards primarily covering Aiyuk yesterday, and only 14 total on the season.

Was still concerned while up 20-7. Wished it was 21-7, but even then saw a scenario where SF ties it at 21 while electing to take their momentum into overtime where they kick a 58 yard FG right down the center of the uprights.

I don't do late-game two score leads very well.

It ended up being the right decision to just kick exta point and go up 20-7.

If we fail on 2 pointer and stay at 19, SF would have only needed one possession instead of two at the end.

Sam Darnold is currently tied for the fourth highest QB Rating in the league right now. And he's doing it without some of his top weapons. Kirk Cousins, #25.

Just sayin!

Two-minute offense...............got down the field and scored with :00 on the clock against one of the top defenses in the league. This is what wins in the NFL! It's a skillset that JJ McCarthy is likely two years (playing time) from developing.

If he keeps it up, it will be a tough call on what you do next year. Darnold will be looking for 20-25M per year. For multiple years.

We are high on McCarthy and didn't draft him to be a backup.

Baker Mayfield is probably a good comp if Darnold has a very good year.

Baker had some early success that Darnold never had, so that might keep Sam in a lower bracket than Baker's 3/100M deal.

To clarify, I hadn't expected them to go for a 2 pt. conversion earlier. Just that being a point short in a way was extra worrisome.

I haven't watched the video yet but they said he was missing tackles and some plays on the radio coverage.....PFF never takes into account that the defense was on the field 2 to 1 in the first half of course.

It is a great problem to have....20-25M may be on the light side.

I listened to SKOR North after the game and I like what they mentioned about the game:

Back and forth like a heavy weight bout....we should have knocked them out a couple of times but to compete like we did against that team/roster changes our outlook.

How do you know? And why would that matter? Such a scenario would provide more opportunities to excel.

Manning and Belichick have a MNF ~ preview. It's not so about much the teams, but how they dissect various plays. Peyton often does his normal 'slot wide back side against a coverage 3 xyz' thing yet also provides great things. BB - who limits his words to the essentials - offers really good stuff on huge do's and dont's, priorities, job 1 is..., etc.

Cautiously optimistic, here.. been burned so many times. Toast calls me racist slurs..

The difference in having 25 mill a season tied up in six different players vs one checkdown Charlie statue QB is patently obvious..

Houston…
Win that game and I might start to smile..

If we knock Houston down a peg we’re early darlings. Like it or not. I don’t like the stink of our potential company FTS! but maybe the story comes down to that.

If we get curb stomped we take it and they’ll be in show us mode.

But I want to see Diggs cry.
