Status: offline 		Oakland is barely a AAA team but it is not easy to sweep anyone. and they not only completed the four game sweep they did it by taking a split double header.

It sure is a lot more fun to watch them when they are winning.

Carlos Correia and Royce Lewis are on fire right now.

never got above A ball, and

AVG .212

OPS .602

Started at ss, couldn't stay there, moved to 3B sucked more, then 1B/DH with little power.




Cant elevate past A Ball and this is the stat line?

Yep. He sucked.

Status: offline 		So, Twins game starts at 6:40. Radar shows the line of thundershowers hits Target Field between 7:30 and 8 pm. There will be a rain delay. Do the Twins officials know they are in a tornado watch?

I stayed until the end. Well worth it. Squeezed the game in as perfectly as possible. Great grounds crew work!

Alcala wasn't much better than Staumont. They were MILES away from the StrikeZone last night.

They twice had Caleb Thielbar warming up.

They didn't pinch hit for Vazquez...no brainer right there with Jeffers on the bench. Buxton not trying to steal. That game just felt like they were struggling. To pull off a win last night would have been quite the feat considering the struggles they were having. Add in that Royce Lewis bad throw. Correa not catching the ball on what would have been caught steeling...Sands not coughing up the game. The Twins did a lot to shoot themselves in the foot in this game.

Add an umpire calling balls way too high strikes. Austin Martin in the 9th that ball was way high. I am ready for the electronic strike zone.

But Austin Martin did make a nice leaping grab.

Gary Gaetti

September 28 – The Twins suffered their biggest blown lead for a loss in team history. Leading Cleveland 10-0 in the third inning, and 10-2 in the sixth, they lost the 9-inning game 11-10. In the ninth, relievers Ron Davis and Ed Hodge loaded the bases. Hodge allowed a walk-off single.

Gaetti had a throwing error in the 6th inning with the Twins leading 10 to 6. Later, in an SI article, G Man acknowledged it is hard to throw to first with both hands around your neck. Despite the collapse in the game and the season, I knew the team had players that could go far into the playoffs and in 87, won it all.

Because although Lewis hit another HR, he also made the game-blowing bad throw on a routine play in the 10th inning.
