It was a fun game to watch. I liked the way they were in battle mode on the second night of back to backs. For some reason that made me think of how Flip used to whine incessantly about playing back to backs.

Dillon Brooks didn't do his team any favors by pissing off Ant. Edwards seized the 4th quarter by throat and won it. Good to see him getting to the line and that shot block late was amazing.

Conley must have taken his vitamin E yesterday. He looked like the guy we had gotten use to before this year.

I think Clark has already passed Minott. We could actually use Randle back because Luka is just terrible.

The only negative I have is that something is off with Naz's shot. His straight on 3 is usually money in the bank and he clanked one after another the last two games.

Now, hopefully, today brings us the end of the Glen Taylor ownership.

Edwards has a wonderful disposition, especially for a star. He's not whiny, he doesn't back down, he just stays happy and plays ball. All the young cats on the team should be trying to mimic is demeanor, effort and work ethic. He has a very unique way about him.

Still way too many dead roster spots on this team. Garza is so bad, and when you can't at all play defense, you better bring something else.

I don’t agree there are dead spots on the roster. I’d rather have the young guys playing in the G league every night. Connelly knows what he is doing. Clark is a prime example. I’d rather have Garza and Ingles cheering on the bench than Russell or Shannon. Those two need G League minutes.

Well, decision day is finally here. My hope is that the panel rules for Lore and A-Roid. No guarantees with them, but I am more convinced than ever that this team will never achieve anything as long as Taylor owns them.

I just read one of those things that triggers speculation, but may mean absolutely nothing. High ranking people in the Wolves organization, hired by Taylor, are interviewing for jobs outside the organization.

Does this mean anything? I don't know. Just killing time until the announcement is made.

Taylor will definitely be suing. Mark and Alex won arbitration.

You think Taylor is just gonna accept this arbitration ruling? I guess you don't know how the ultra-rich hold onto power. They litigate, litigate, litigate.

If he wants to waste his money he can.

It would be ironic since the only reason he tried to back out of the sale was because of how much the franchise appreciated in value...

AFAIK, the arbitration ruling is binding. Plus, I don't think Taylor is the chip boss at the table.

Shams:
Just in: Arbitrators have ruled Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez over Glen Taylor as the next majority ownership group of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Lore and Rodriguez told ESPN. The NBA’s Board of Governors now have to approve Lore and Rodriguez.

Dane Moore:
Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez have announced they won the arbitration ruling for ownership of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

All that remains is approval from the NBA's board of governors, which I have heard is not an obstacle.

Lore and Rodriguez will be the owners of the Wolves.

Yep. A binding arbitration ruling is virtually unappealable.

Taylor: "Becky and I were disappointed by this 2-1 decision from the panel. We will review the decision thoroughly prior to making any further comment. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Timberwolves and Lynx players, staff, and loyal fans for their support.”

It's disingenuous of Taylor to insinuate that the vote was close by referring to it being 2-1.

The 3 attorneys in the panel are 1) Taylors, 2) Lore/ARod, 3) A Neutral Party.

So the only way it wouldn't end 2-1 is if Tylor or LoRod's attorney voted against their client.

Glen was trying to save a little face, I guess. I can't imagine he is dumb enough to try to go court. He realized how cheap, he sold and took his shot. I would think at this point he knows he can't win.

The 83 year old billionaire, hoarder wants to cheat. I'm shocked.

I love how he does that Minnesota nice thing and invokes his wife in the process. He's just a simple, wholesome family man that wants to do right for the team and the fans. I will miss him dearly.

And it's amazing how many rubes on the Strib website eat that shit up...not fair...Glen is one of us...Lore and A-Rod didn't have the money...the Wolves are moving to Las Vegas

That was a damn ugly game. It was one of the few times that I didn't make it through 3 quarters.

Yep. A binding arbitration ruling is virtually unappealable.

Arbitration experts in the Twin Cities noted ahead of the process that panel decisions are typically final.

“Arbitration awards are virtually unappealable,” said Terrence Fleming, a lawyer at Fredrikson who specializes in business litigation. As a practical matter, Fleming said, the panel’s decision will be final.

Egregious examples of fraud or bias — for instance, if one of the arbitrators didn’t disclose a relationship with either party — could be grounds for appeal, but legal experts said it’s extremely rare.

Normally you can't appeal an arbitration ruling. The exceptions to that are really onerous - if the arbitration ruling is clearly erroneous as to the law or the facts, or if the decision is the product of bribery or other outrageous fraud. This would all be governed by the Federal Arbitration Act, 9 U.S.C. § 1-16.

None of these conditions appear to apply here. The arbitration panel in this case has some extremely qualified lawyers on it (two former judges and one of Delaware's leading experts in corporate law), who are unlikely to make big mistakes.

If you could easily appeal arbitration it would defeat the whole purpose of it.
