I think Skule was signed to be a swing backup.

If Kwesi could draft he’d be a top 5 GM.

If Turner and JJM turn out he may have turned that corner. The CB out of Oregon dying mid summer was very bad luck as I though he was an excellent pick.

The last 4 late rounders all are still on the team also (Reichert, Rouse, Rodriguez, Jurgens.

Needs?

CB Overall. Blackmon (probably?), Murphy, Rodgers, Thomas (Special Teams value), Wright, McGlothern. Little to no proven performance.

WR Depth. 4 and 5 guys, maybe a #3 to surprise.
RB. Although there is always a 3rd trade for Akers
S Depth+. Metellus (gadget), Jackson, Ward.
OL Depth.

I do think Harry is back for 1 more year.

DOGE his ass…

Yea because dying midsummer is always what you plan on in a draft pick..

Alec Lewis of The Athletic is reporting that the Vikings have agreed to a deal with linebacker Eric Wilson, the terms of which were not immediately available.

Wilson started his NFL career with the Vikings, signing with them as an undrafted free agent out of Cincinnati in 2017. He appeared in all 64 regular season games in his first tour with the Vikings, including getting 15 starts at linebacker in 2020. After that, he split the 2021 season between the Houston Texans and Philadelphia Eagles before playing the past three seasons with the Green Bay Packers.

Last season, Wilson was a core special teamer for Green Bay while also logging over 500 snaps on the defensive side of the ball. With Kamu Grugier-Hill a free agent, Wilson could fill a similar role with the Vikings behind Blake Cashman and Ivan Pace Jr. at the linebacker spot.

A bit of a Vikings cap update:

Will Fries’ 2025 cap number: $5.64M
Ryan Kelly’s 2025 cap number: $5.61M

Team still has around $40M in cap space, per OTC, but figure doesn’t include Hargrave/Bolden/Thomas/Harrison Smith’s update deal/Garrett Bradbury’s potential release.

Maybe there is one other veteran QB out there that people are missing?

He didn't play last year, is 37 years old but has has some success in the NFL...Ryan Tannehill?

I'm kind of grasping at straws here. I don't want to see us having ONLY Rodgers as the option for this year.

Tannehill would be a good option, love what Flacco did with the Browns 2 years ago...

Winston?

I really only want someone that would be a back up and not "compete for a starter role"

This is JJM's team now and hope we support that...

Rodgers would be the worst possible thing for this team and for JJM

Rodgers would be so awful for so many reasons...
1. He would be here to start
2. team cancer
3. cost too much and defeat the purpose of having a QB on their rookie deal
4. entitled asshole
5. awful political BS and opinions
6. the GB stench cannot be removed...

9 new signings
5 resigned
6 clear vacant positions
2 more vacant positions to get to 53 depending on 2 vs 3 QBs, # on OL, WR, DB, etc

It looks like the D is about done, although IMO CB is risky.
Need backups at the skill positions.

Draft prediction: CB, RB, filler.

FROM NBC SPORTS: "Free agent wide receiver Rondale Moore is in Minnesota today on a visit with the Vikings. The Vikings announced the visit this morning. The 24-year-old Moore was a 2021 second-round pick of the Cardinals who played three years in Arizona and then was traded to Atlanta last year. He did not play for the Falcons after a training camp knee injury. At 5-foot-7 and 181 pounds, Moore is small but has talent to make big plays with the ball in his hands. Teams are going to want to know how his knee recovery is going, but he could be a solid addition to the right offense in 2025."

I really like Rondale.
David Palmer type guy who I think could be a better version of Powell.
Get you 3rd down conversions.

Only downside... we are small at receiver.
Would be nice to have a functional WR that could also block and muscle his route in the redzone.

Flacco??

I really think Flacco should be the guy.

But Tannehill wouldn't be a bad option either.

I DON'T want Aaron Rodgers. This isn't like Favre. Favre loved the game loved his team, etc. . had a passion for playing it. Aaron is all about Aaron.

If they go that route i will still watch, but be prepared for the shit hitting the fan when they bench the almight Aaron for JJ.

Thoughts on Keenan Allen? I think he is better than Kupp.
