The quartet of quarterbacks on the Vikings roster have started 198 games and own a record of 94-102-2. The experience level is a stark contrast to this time a year ago, when McCarthy and Brett Rypien (four career starts) were alone in the QB room.

LOL, as if "experience" equates to success.

The cool thing is if we start out 8-0, the quartet will have a combined .500 record! At this point, that could get them all into the Vikings Ring of Honor.

Its more of a wailing wall at this point. Gnashing of teeth. Sobbing inconsolably.

All the things we love about Wentz coming off the field.

No wonder we resigned him.

So they can cut him later....(I hope).

I'm guessing they don't want to have to start Brosmer again, considering both Murray and McCarthy's injury history?

Wentz' labrum and shoulder socket are saying oh, don't forget about us!

Thats a valid point.

The question is probably, why would he resign with us?

No other interest out there?

Maybe Wentz is not worried about losing a competition with JJM.

So he can live on his cattle ranch in nowheresville North Dakota and just be ready for an emergency situation, all while collecting a nice paycheck.

I'm sure Wentz didn't generate any interest. Look how late the Vikings signed him last year. Either Wentz is just happy to have a job and is content to hold the clipboard or JJM will be moved.

I heard ‘reports’ linking Wentz to both the Jets and Raiders this offseason.

And by reports I mean salacious unconfirmed whispers and rumors.

The same people saying Wentz would have remained the starter if they hadn’t smashed all his bits and pieces last year to smithereens. And even with a healthy JJM.

Who’s to know?

I saw an offense that couldn't score TDs with Wentz but we moved the ball and made our K an All Pro when he was in charge.....

1 Murray/2 JJ/3 Wentz is still better than last year's trio going into the season:

1 JJ (1st year)/2 Wentz/3 Brosmer

Improvement in all 3.

This team should win a minimum of 10 games.

funny how much better the qb situation is this year than last...

we were all hoping for JJ to just show that he would convincingly be the guy

he didn't do that and our back up sitch was awful

This year's QB room is a far cry from enviable, just better than last year...

And they won 9 games last year.

They should win 10+ this season, if the strength of schedule is similar.

On second thought, that is a poor assumption, as that assumes all the teams on the schedule will be about the same, and all the teams in the division will be about the same, many teams end up being drastically different.

Both teams that played in the Super Bowl were 50(or more) to 1 odds of winning the Super Bowl before the season last year.

The latest I saw on the Vikings, they were about 50-1 odds to win the next Super Bowl, but went to 55-1 odds AFTER signing Kyler Murray, which hopefully Murray uses the slap in the face for motivation

I don't know about the 10 games.....2nd place schedule and a really good division. 7-10 range.....a lot would have to go right to get to 10 wins. As bad as last year seems we won on the road at Detroit and Chicago to get to 9 wins.

We currently play 9 home games although there could be an Int'l game.

Wild Ass Guess:

3-3 within Div

Home Win - Atl, Car, Mia, Wash, Indy
Home Loss - Buff

Away Win - NO, TB, NYJ
Away Loss - NE, SF

11-6 Maybe move Indy to a L and factor in injuries to make it a more comfortable 9-8 so that we can again pick 18th.

Wow...you think 11-6? You are more positive than Marty. What is in your coffee this morning?

It's a lot of "if's and but's" but.....

It's not insane to think that they could win 10+. Hell, they won 9 and were a terrible kick off job from making the playoffs last year. All with:

a first year starter who was hurt A LOT
Wentz playing at least one game he had no business being in
Brosmer starting

That trio had to be one of, if not THE, worst QB situation in the league. Add in:

Darrisaw barely played
Not much at C
Jackson out with a broken wrist
Addison suspended

That's a lot to overcome and yet they still pulled out 9.

Injuries happen to every team. Here are some starting QBs we faced: Jake Browning, Dillon Gabriel, Clayton Tune.

The last game was a gimme vs 53 Packer fans pulled from the stands.

And injuries will continue. 9-8. At the same time you might be absolutely right.

At a glance, I agree with 3-3 in the division.

Home win: Atl, Car, Buf, Mia
Home loss: Was, Indy

Away win: NY J, TB, NO
Away loss: NE, SF

I get 10-7, but might be a little too optimistic thinking the Vikings beat both Carolina and Buffalo, but home crowd could be the difference.

At TB could go either way, hoping the loss of Evans gives the Vikings the edge.

UGHHH. "FUN" fact I just heard the Purple Daily guys just read out loud. We all can see with our eyes how bad it's been but they sited 2 analyitical sources and the Vikings are dead last in draft efficiency since 2022.

The bottom 5:

Tenn
Cle
Arizona
Jets
Vikings

Top 5:

Rams
Tampa

That should come as.a surprise to nobody. Queasy has the worst combination of picking players and getting fleeced in pick swaps I have ever seen.
