ORIGINAL: Phil Riewer Pro-Football-Reference career advanced splits (Snap Type; approximates usage via pass attempts + rushes)Shotgun: 1,772 completions on 2,622 attempts + 417 rushes. Under Center: 202 completions on 319 attempts + 115 rushes. This is consistent with under center being a small share of his total involvement (especially on dropbacks). Note that these are not pure snap counts of every offensive play, and pistol is not broken out separately (it generally falls under shotgun-style tracking). pro-football-reference.com Context by era: Kingsbury years (2019–2022): Extremely shotgun-heavy (often 90%+), minimal under center. Petzing/Gannon years (2023–2025 partial): Noticeable increase in under-center snaps (for run game, play-action, and versatility), though still not the majority. Team under-center rates rose, and Murray himself took more of those snaps. Pistol appears occasionally in reporting (e.g., specific zone-read or condensed looks) but is not a primary alignment for him career-wide. In short, across his career Kyler Murray has lined up under center only a small fraction of the time (most commonly cited in the mid-single digits to low teens percent), with the large majority of his snaps/dropbacks coming from shotgun (pistol included as a smaller portion of the non-under-center looks). Usage of under center increased later in Arizona but never approached 50%. Data sources can differ slightly by whether they track all snaps, dropbacks only, or pass plays, and by the exact cutoff date. Conclusion: Unless KOC changes his scheme, Murray has another thing - a significant one at that - to adjust to. Conclusion: 1) How are you positive the adjustment doesn't help him? 2) Even after 1 quarter of one preseason game? Never said that. There you go again. I said "Unless KOC changes his scheme, Murray has another thing - a significant one at that - to adjust to." Geez, it was literally a one sentence post and you confused yourself. You mean the post where Brad H agreed with you in a reply? So deflect with a post that you somehow think is funny, got it. Brad agreeing with you proves it....it is funny because you don't see it. It was a prediction I reiterated from March. So what. You however conveniently used it to intentionally deflect away from not understanding my simple assertion that Murray being under center a lot more is a significant adjustment.... based on numbers you imported! OK, now what rabbit hole are you going to hop to? Out. Now you see it.....
