False starts were a big part of the game. Not expecting the lack of discipline to improve, but at the same time need to see JJM improve.

We should be 1st in number of penalties against after this week.

https://www.nflpenalties.com/

Doesn't seem like his coach is helping him.

Having him drop back like he's Matthew Stafford is wild.

Also wild they thought they could win with basically a rookie who's big knock was lack of reps/experience throwing.
And sure enough, having all sort accuracy issues
Only 3 QBs with a worse completion %

He definitely lacks experience. I'm ok with these mistakes as long as there's upwards progression. He's gotta stay healthy as well. With his style of play that may be tough.

I don't have issues with INTs by a young QB. My biggest issue is his sailing of footballs. One thing I remember I read an evaluator say, is he lacks consistent touch and tries to "rip" everything.

And what's up with throwing it into the arms of d lineman?

2nd INT I put on Jefferson. One on one coverage, you throw it up and you hope a 30M+ WR comes down with ball. Teams are getting physical with JJ and it is working.

Agreed. I've watched that play 3-4 times. He doesn't trip he just flat out falls down. Then stands there vs going and tackling the guy.

Made me think of Jeff George doing nothing on INTs / fumbles.

"Not in my job description!"

Something was up with Jefferson today. It wasn't enough to play like dog shit but then act like you don't care and give zero effort seems out of character.

O'Connell is losing me fast.

48 designed pass plays
13 designed run

It wasn't like we were behind. We had the ball with a 10-9 lead to open the 3rd qtr. We averaged 6 yards per carry. You have a green qb.

Down 14 you score a TD and you go for two??? WTF for.

According to ESPN Stats, with his six passes batted down at the line of scrimmage today McCarthy shattered the all-time record for most passes defended by defensive linemen through a QB's first four games.

I don't really care which Bill you are but those are damn fine points. So I'll share credit for them What's good for the goose and all that.

48-13 pass-run ratio is case closed given those variables. Hell, Bledsoe passed 71 times against us when at an early point in the game EVERY play was a pass!

Had to be Jefferson's worst game. The first pick he doesn't even try to break up the INT and then just stands there watching the DB run it back.

Tripped on the DB for the next pick.

Dropped a TD.

He gave up on passes, dropped passes, jumped off side, missed blocks...

Dude needs to wear a Jim McMahon shielded visor (although that was because he had an eye condition). Maybe a mirror shield if allowed?

Serious question. Assuming they do not amke/win a playoff game this year. I think even the most optimistic fan would be hard pressed to think they'll even make the playoffs as it's a flawed team. Division alone is brutal.
Is next year a must win playoff game year for Kwesi/KOC?

I mean 5 years to rebuild the team their way and not even 1 playoff win?

Somehow the team has gotten older and still mired in mediocrity.

Good question. I really don't see this team improving much (just getting another year older) with kwesi's track record in the draft.

I think there looks to be a little extra wind-up before he throws. My guess is it lets linemen time his release easier.

I think that is a good answer that I hadn't considered.

I've noticed he seems to throw matter whether they're in his face or not (took a couple heavy shots). He may need to learn to pump fake and definitely needs to side step at times. But he does seem to have some pocket presence.

Somehow?

Let’s trade for and keep offering contracts to dipsticks like Smith, Hockenson, and Theiken, et Al.

JFC this team is Kwesi all the way..

BAD GM=bad team.

As a note on perspective, that is the 3rd different thing you've initiated about me since right before the end of the game. One every 50 minutes.

You're count is wrong Bill, it is you that initiated this with 2 silly private messages to me.

Keep the 'private' messages coming, they give me more to laugh about

For the record Bill, I have never initiated a private message to you, you sent 4 to me.

It is you that is harassing and trying to bully me, and I will not let you bully me.

Make rude comments about me on here, and I will respond. There really hasn't been name calling, but everything else I stated here is true, and it seems to bother you that these things are true

You again? Do you ever quit?

Obsession
the state of being obsessed with someone or something.
"she cared for him with a devotion bordering on obsession"

an idea or thought that continually preoccupies or intrudes on a person's mind.
"he was in the grip of an obsession he was powerless to resist"

Charmingly cute in a way, but you're not my type.

After seeing Dobbs regress under KOC, KOC's success was with Stafford, a QB that isn't very mobile. And his last 2 QBs weren't very mobile, Cousins and Darnold, which led to regular season success, but nothing in the playoffs.

After seeing many plays before the Vikings were down by 2 TDs, where McCarthy could have ea sily run for a chunk of yards, or at least could have run a few times to keep the defense off balance, it seemed the young QB was being instructed to force throws into tight coverage, don't run unless absolutely necessary.

Maybe KOC isn't the right head coach for McCarthy? The head coach that will bring out his best.

Bill, you're the one that doesn't stop, take a look into a mirror.

Keep using projection, and sending me private messages that only reveal things about yourself, you're a master of projection.

Yes, Bill, I stand behind my comments, and will not let your reposting them bully me into stopping. Notice I don't try to repost your posts over and over, nor do I do counts on how many times you have said this or that.

Things you're saying about me, are about you, you are the one that is obsessing.

Wrong, I posted about whether or not KOC is the coach to bring out the best in McCarthy.

It is you that is reposting my comments and trying to bully me. It's not going to work.
