That was another winnable home game. I had gone to see the Ravens and Dolphins in Miami and I wasn't too impressed with Ravens. Sure they won that by 22 but Miami was the better team in the first half but they shot themselves in the foot and the Ravens were efficient in the red zone. This game was similar but the Ravens weren't efficient in the red zone and that's why it came down to the final possession. KOC is getting in his own way, while I agree taking a shot with JJ in single coverage is worth it, but he's not Moss, it doesn't have to be a go route. Have him break it off to the outside, a throw that McCarthy is comfortable with. I'm not sure if he's being over coached not to run, but McCarthy ran for many key first downs on 3rd and medium for Michigan. Can't this be worked on in practice and he can let his instincts take over during the game. That pick by Starks kickstarted the mid game collapse. On Jets poor game. It was poor no doubt, the Ravens were physical with him, more so down field than most. Thought he was held on the 4th down in the red zone, a crafty tug on the arm by the Ravens DB. The McCarthy factor is frustrating him no doubt. A new OLine coach is needed, McCarthy's cadence along with Brandel's inexperience are to blame as well for all of the false starts, but the group has been underwhelming, and no one seems to improve within this group. The D hung on just enough Van Ginkel was immense. Redmond has been a real find and Allen is starting to play better as well. The Lewis Cine whiff (perhaps injury related) has hurt because this D needs that impact safety to tie everything together. They really miss Cam Bynum. Price's willingness to make plays is admirable, but he needs to pick his spots more. Obviously you can't anticipate fumbles and I'm not sure he could have taken the knee there but there are times to simply take it to the 35.
