David, I thought you were "proudly" blocking me , but are instead trolling me, misrepresenting what I said, or not really understanding the points I am making.

I guess when you don't have anything to add, and aren't happy that your limited brain can't accept the possibility of a game being "swayed", you feel the need to go on the offensive.

I don't care for all the non-uniformity with regards to NFL game balls, but I do appreciate the results, the longer FGs, and am thankful the Vikings have Will the Thrill, they ought to give him a contract for 15 years

Does it upset you that the regular NFL balls all go through an extensive 10 hour breaking in process involved harsh brushes, oils, balms and mud that removes any slickness, significantly softens the leather and actually makes them tacky to the touch making them much easier to grip and catch?

-- Which is exactly what I was talking about with "making the balls better", making them in better condition for the longer field goals we now see.

Thanks for reinforcing my point David.

Actually, it looks like you totally missed his point there.

The point is that when the Vikes are winning; Matt brings out a hook line and sinker to discuss something totally off topic. Marty still can't get the hook out of his mouth.

When I saw that Brees was one of the announcers, I was appalled...

on principle, he should never be given a Saints game

haven't heard anything negative about this game, but still...

There really wasn't much opportunity to show bias, but that annoyed me

Not only that....they gave him the game to announce in which he was added to their ring of honor....

Makes sense though, he does have to work that day, might as well get the ring of honor thing done. Every analyst is a former player and there will always be a level of bias. Brees has been a decent analyst thus far.

Phil

I was agreeing with Matt, though I doubt anything can and will change about it, the current system seems a little strange.

But as long as it works for the Vikings, and the Vikings have one of the best kickers in the league, it's all good.

Of course he did. And now he'll say you are of limited intelligence and that YOU are bullying HIM.

I did. And then during the bye week I figured I'd see if you had anything interesting to say.

You didn't, so back to block.

Similar to how he is setting the stage today by saying you have a "limited brain" after your polite post. The irony of that whole bullying thing escapes him.

BTW, his preferred/related term for me is small minded. Or maybe it has a hyphen, as in small-minded.

This isn't even funny anymore, Sam Darnold doesn't even go through his progressions at this point.

All he does is stare down JSN and pray he gets open, if not he forces the ball anyways or takes a sack.

What happened to him man.

https://x.com/42Cyc/status/2110906425849323803

7 TDs (4 in 1 games) and 7 INTs in 5 games for Sam.

Still can't believe they let Walker go.

I understood David's point, but failed to clearly express my opinion on it.

Whether the NFL were to just issue teams brand new balls, or do all sorts of things with them, each team starts with similar balls.

Afterwards, teams can do all sorts of things to the balls (there must be plenty of limitations), but there isn't uniformity, and each team can do different things, or a different amount of things to the balls. It could end up being a science experiment, and some teams might come up with some tricks to make the balls more likely to convert longer FGs.

We like the way things are, because the Vikings have a great kicker

Maybe Darnold is a little bit over-rated, was lucky to be in a great situation in Seattle, but he does some things right, and plays well at times.

We'll see if he can turn some of the things around that he was doing in Denver, and once again lead his team to a SB, or not.

Maybe Kyler Murray puts together his best season, and leads the Vikings to a Super Bowl win this season, or will the run game or some other element fall short ?

Pretty sure his point addressed something else.

My understanding was that he was talking about what the league does originally with the balls, and my point was about what teams do afterwards.

Nope. He essentially said the balls the QBs use are allowed to go through even more manipulation than the kicking balls, or at least more tools/processes are allowed in the process.

And given that, the question is if someone is concerned about the kicking balls being worked on, would that person be more concerned the regular balls are even less "uniform" (your word).

But that's my take. You can ask him.

Is RB Jonathan Taylor of the Colts someone the Vikings might able to trade for before the trade deadline?

I think Jonathon Taylor could make the Vikings similar to the 2025 Seahawks, the missing piece.

With the Colts losing, Jonathan Taylor to the Vikings becomes more of a possibility.

Beat the Colts next week, and then steal their RB (give them a 3rd rounder).

Terrible stats although they indicate some deep passes. Didn't watch the game.

Love will be a renewed MVP candidate based on playing against Dallas.

Jerry Jones has hoodwinked that fanbase for years. Or they are idiots.
