I saw Jax was up 14-7 and thought you had a shot, but Jax is pretty bad. Remember when we started this, and I said if we didn't do it by points, just straight up, could a person just keep going against Jax ?

I was actually cheering for you Brad (that could have been one of the problems ). I would like to see a good competition, would like to see both of us, or ALL of us except DrViking get correct picks.

I'm going to keep picking the Packers, hoping they fail to cover a spread the rest of the year. But as soon as they cover a spread, then I'll likely to be picking other picks. My favorite pick really was KC +8 (so watch them get steamrolled tonight), but I stayed with the Pack as it seems to be jinxing them.

Since the Vikings season is long over but for the games.

Time to predict some offseason activity for the Vikings.

1.  No more than 48hours after the season ends Leslie Frazier and Co will be shown the door.  and don't give me any BS about Zygi wont want to pay for a coach that isn't working for him.  He did it with Tice, and Bad Chilidog.
2.  They will make some halfhearted weak effort to resign Jared Allen which will fail as JA considers himself worth far more than any team will be willing to pay.  Jared eventually settles for a contract about 20% lower than what he wants...and not with the Vikings.
3.  Adrian Peterson trade rumors will run rampant.  But he wont be going anywhere.
4.  Vikings will pursue some second tier FA QB and forgoe getting one in the draft...thus ****ing themselves for another three years.
5.  Any coach of any merit will avoid accepting a job here like the plague as they see the organization as totally hamstrung by the front office.
6.  We end up hiring some second rate nobody OC from Ball State or something to be HC and pray for a miracle.
7.  Greg Childs blows out his knees again in minicamps or OTAs
8.  Jerome Simpson gets nabbed for MJ but this time in the Bahamas.
9.  Christian Ponder is resigned after being released because no other QB will come here...
10. Vikes use first draft pick on some reach that everyone laughs at.

Can the Vikes take part in the up and coming NBA draft?  We surely would rate a "lottery pick" and the front office can't screw that up can they???

Sadly, they probably would Ed.

How about 5 minutes after the game like Weekend at Bernie's did to Tice.

If there was an option on staff today that wouldn't make me sick to my stomach, i would have no issue with Frazier being gone today.

I don't care when it's done...as long as it's done.  I've seen enough.  I like the guy as a person, but as a coach, not cutting it.  Time for new blood.

I think Frazier knows his time is almost over.  Not that his post game pressers are very good in the first place but after the Seahags loss he just looked like he knew.  His whole demeanor was strangely different, at least in my opinion.  He gave it his best shot but he needs to go back to coaching DB's.

With the first pick in the 2014 NFL draft... the Minnesota Vikings select Derek Carr. QB Fresno State. (not #1 overall - we wont end up there. I mean with our first pick)

I will be a very, very happy man

I'll have to watch some film on Carr. I think having the name Carr might work against him, there is no history of playoff wins or SB victories with that name. However, that is also true of Archie Manning, but Manning was known to be a great QB, I'm not sure the same can be said of Carr.

The only QB I'm hoping for is Manziel. He is playing with a poor running game and poor defense, and is still quite successful. That can't be said of the other QBs. And the other QBs (Bridgewater, Mariota and Body), have looked pretty pedestrian at times, and the same can NOT be said about Manziel.

The ONLY QB I might take over Manziel is Winston, but he's not available in this next draft.

I have 10 confidence points (out of 14) that says the Vikings lose at GB this weekend.

Ricky, you might want to lower confidence points, I'm picking the Packers as my lock of the week.

My lock of the week is the Packers -5 against Minnesota, I'm taking them before I have to give up any more points (it started at 3). I'm going to keep taking the Packers until they cover a spread. I hope they don't cover a spread the rest of the year .

Lower meaning you're being sarcastic or you think I should go 11 or 12 confidence points? /not sure of your def of "lower"/

I don't think it's sarcasm, if Marty is picking it, that's not a good sign. He's nailed one of these puppies.

You're correct Prescott.

I was going to be silly and say that I'm SOOO due to hit a lock of the week. But really Ricky, I worded that wrong. You should make that game your HIGHEST in confidence points, take it to the bank, unless Brad has one that is equally good or better .

I think this will be a close game. I think if the Vikings have any game circled to 'play up' to, it's this one. Division rivalry, which normally means you throw out the records anyway. With Rodgers not playing, the Vikings have a real shot at winning this game, even if they decided to use Joe Webb at QB. That's just my feeling Ricky. I'd be more sure of KC, Indy and Denver than the Packers.

The closer it gets the more I'm thinking like you are ... I'm way off the Ponder band wagon but I think he has it in him to have a good game. Thanks.

Dear God I hope not. That is truly an awful prognostication. Or should I call it a Kalinoscopy.

A guaranteed winner folks, bank on it!

Change that Colts pick to the Cards and you might be on to something.
