I locked in at GB -5, and that is my lock of the week.

Looking forward to your locks Brad and Ricky.

"May the odds be ever in your favor"

How was Catching Fire?

Didn't know I was playing. I just recently spent a few minutes to figure out how moneyline works. I love it. I could easily lose my IPERS betting with it.

Detroit Red Wings -125

Just saw it. Sometimes (not often) something becomes very popular because it's very good. This is one of those rare times.

Cool. I enjoyed the first one and all the books. Didn't think the second one could be that good.

My 15 year old said it was really good with a weak ending.

Did he/she read the books? It follows them pretty closely. I saw it with two people who hadn't read the books, and two who had. The ones who hadn't said it was a bad ending, and the two (along with me) said 'well that's how she ends it in the book'. Course I can't remember exactly, but it's close. I think it's more along the lines of they wanted more of the story right away and were disappointed, than it actually being a bad ending, it's definitely a cliff hanger. I know I started reading the third book immediately.

Yep, he read the books. Maybe I'll catch it over Thanksgiving.

The 9 & 10 pt underdogs won yesterday.

I wonder how many people bet $100 to get $500 on Jacksonville?

Ricky, we share the same lock, GB, most places are giving them 6 1/2, but I have a feeling GB won't need the points, as they are going to outright WIN the game.

GB and Detroit are both due for a win, but GB is MORE due, it's been almost 5 weeks since they've won a game.

Detroit is thought of as a group of thugs, and I suspect the refs will favor the Packers and make an upset likely. I think GBs' defense will have a decent game, probably getting at least one defensive TD.

I think both Dallas and Baltimore will win by a FG.

I'm not even playing in your contest and the lock of the week is Dallas and the points. And I don't even know what the spread is.

Dallas is giving up 8 1/2 points, most places. I think that is too many, and would take the Raiders and the points, but that is NOT my lock of the week.

Some tough TG games.

GB +6 If Tolzien were playing the Lions would win this no problem. With Flynn the Packers can at least keep it close and they're more fundamentally sound than Detroit. Though the Lions have to know this is their chance.

Dal -9.5 The Raiders have been decent of late but there's more film on McGloin and Kiffin despite his struggles knows how to confuse a rookie QB.

Pitt +3 This will probably be a 3 point game either way. The Steelers have some juice on offense Antonio Brown has been incredible all season. Big Ben is just a much better QB than Flacco IMO. The Ravens defense is stout, while the Steeler defense is average.

Dallas is a different team at home and the Raiders will not be able to keep up with them. I'd give 20 to the Raiders and wouldn't think twice about it.

The Bears run defense is terrible. Melton is potential all pro so it makes some sense, but doesn't tell the whole story.

This line doesn't surprise me, though it's basically a pick'em

Our pass defense is going to get torched by Marshall and Jeffery.

I also like Jacksonville +7 at Cleveland. An over/under of 40 is a low number, meaning every point will be tough to get.
