Yeah, the old Las Vegas Hilton really has deteriorated into neglect

The location off the strip really hurts it these days

It's because they closed the Star Trek Experience that was there.

Killed a lot of their traffic right there.

Completely agree. In conjunction with it not being on the strip...there is NOTHING adjacent to it. Like restaurants and such. They did remodel half of their rooms and we stayed in one of those.

We stayed there for the sole purpose that we could roll out of bed and slide downstairs into the Superbook for games on Saturday and sunday morning. We could then take turns going back to the room for showers while others saved your seats. It was NOT easy saving seats on NFL sunday.

When we were not at the Superbook we took the Monarail and we were on the strip in 10 minutes. If the Monorail wasn't there it would be a death blow for the old Hilton.

I tell you what, one of the best parts was that they had a Miss International pageant/convention going on all weekend, since it is next to the convention center....whether or not they were in their sweats or evening gowns they always had their country banners on. So it was a lot of fun comparing countries. The variety was mesmerizing. It seemed like you were always in the elevator with at least one of them.

I got off of the elevator once and started walking down the hall and all of a sudden the whole herd in evening gowns was coming towards me. I just stopped and became a rock in the middle of a river.

I just texted this link to my 6 friends that went with me. One just texted back "I spilled a bit of Rum and Coke trying to not get run over by Canada at the elevators. She must have been 6'2"

They were all wearing 4-5 inch heals all the time. I would have like to see them all lined up and they all take their heals off at once.

Damn the injuries are piling up for some teams. The Packers both Lacey and Starks out. They will most likely start Knile who they just traded KC for.
they are also down top 3 cornerbacks.

Just as I was back on the Buffalo bandwagon, Shady tweaked a hammy, not sure if he will play Sunday.

Prisco likes the Eagles. Vikings offensive line is the reason. Then Brady Quinn points out the Eagles are weak at Right Tackle. Pete is just determined that the Vikings offensive line is a mess. So Eagles will win.

Tim, I took Green Bay in the survivor pool, wanted to take them before the collapse . Another person picked GB, down to 3 people.

Let's not underestimate the Packers, they didn't win the SB after going 15-1, they won it after going 9-7. Maybe Rodgers likes hitting rock bottom, then can be an underdog and being the team that is feared. Hopefully not.

Wobbie has McKinnon having a breakout game this week against Philadelphia. I could see that.

Not too likely. Philly will be concentrating more on stopping the run, and it's usually harder to run on the road.

Why would they be concentrating on stopping the run when its been the weakest part of our offense?

Marty do you really put any thought into these thoughts of yours? I have to agree with DL.

i'd like to see mckinnon throw a pass out of a sweep - maybe patterson going deep or ellison/morgan sneaking off a block....

Why would they be concentrating on stopping the run when its been the weakest part of our offense

Because a couple weeks ago the Eagles had a highly ranked defense, and realize a big reason they lost the last two weeks was because of run defense, and it's also likely they realize the Vikes will be working on getting the run game going, Zimmer has said it.

The Vikes getting their run game going is going to make the defense even better, the Eagles don't want the Vikings controlling time of possession.

Having said that, I think the Eagles will be trying to make sure the Vikings don't get their run game going, the Vikings desire to get it going might be stronger. So I agree with Wobby that it's possible the Vikes get their run game going, I think it's more likely it gets going in a home game, or against a really bad defense on the road. If the Eagles continue to be weak against the run, the Vikes could blow them out.

I think it will be a close game. And I think it will only take a couple of holding calls on the Vikings to keep the Vikes running game mute, and there is a pretty good chance we see that if there is any sort.of 'sway' going in the Eagles' favor.
