So...i am going to Las Vegas this weekend. Havent been there for over 15 years. Crappy weekend for the vikes to be on bye. I am going to be spending saturday and sunday morning/day at the Westgate resort sportsbook. In order to get free drinks you need to bet on the games.....so i need your locks of the weekend for college or pro football. Spread or over/under etc. Any other vegas tips or suggestions would be helpful.

I think Fisher is a decent regular season coach, his teams usually lack talent.

I see the Eagles game as pivotal for the Vikes' season, win it, and a 16-0 regular season is a real possibility.

It seems like it's NE and Denver in the AFC, Steelers an outside chance if their defense improves. The NFC is probably Minnesota, Seattle and Green Bay, with Philly, Dallas (with Dak) and Washington all having an outside chance. Is Detroit a sleeper with the ball getting spread around more ?

I don't believe in Atlanta, Cincy, Oakland, Arizona as far as their QBs being clutch in the playoffs.

Take the Cowgirls and the points. They will run rough shod over the puke defense.

Sadly though, the girls defense is just as bad.

Maybe just take the over.

Hey the Packers have the number 1 rush defense. They shut down the running attacks of Jags, Us with AD injured during game, Detroit, Air and the Giants.

Something has got to give! I actually hope Elliot runs all over them although I will be happy regardless who loses. Even a tie. I just love that one of these teams will be further behind us.

Delain I like Buffalo to cover against 49ers.

I like Pittsburgh and the points.

Tennessee

New England and the points

sneaky - Detroit and Seattle

The over under on Jets/Arizona is 46. Seems right no Decker so under might be in play.

I think GB #1 rushing D might be more of a product of they're terrible secondary.

Teams will attack your weakness so not a lot of need to run the ball when you can scorch them in the passing game.

I'm sure Dallas will challenge them by running so we'll see if it's for real.

I've watched a lot of Cowboys games since my wife likes them. I think the Cowboys are a better team without Dez. When Dez is in he will whine the whole game unless the qb forces him the ball. He will probably drop half of them which requires him to maintain control after hitting the ground. JMO.

Maybe so. Locker room and whining aside he certainly has to be accounted for by a defense.

Very talented player but agree he is a knuckle head.

I hope Delain didn't bet Pittsburgh. The other calls were rock solid and I wish Steve would have posted his Chef's take before I turned in my picks last week. 8 on the Raiders, WTH is going on?!?!

I am reposting a little tirade I made on another thread from 10/11/16, Due to the fact I believe the fall I called happened yesterday and I indeed was using to house money on Green Bay as a survivor pick against NY Giants due to the fact they might not win anther game.

From 10/11/2016:

Still steaming about the schedule makers and the national talking heads regarding the Green Bay Packers! Start out season against a team that can't win on this continent. They get their asses kicked by the new Daddy in the North in a game that was not nearly as close as the score. Barely hang on to beat a schizophrenic Detroit Lions team. Then beat a Giants team, who just really got screwed by the schedule makers, based on that run of games. On road Monday night against Vikings and then on road in Green Bay Sunday night against the well rested 4th (feels like the 14th best team to me) in power rankings Green Bay Packers. I picked Packers in my Survivor league just so I could use them before the collapse. The collapse is coming for the Green and Gold. To quote Carl G, of Barreiro fame, they are just Tewwrable..." I really hope in the picks section of Fridays Bumper to Bumper they point this out Carl, help him with his lack of grasp of reality.

Actually I am not as steaming as I am excited about the impending fall of the Packers. By Thanksgiving my new in laws will have some things to be quiet to...

Nailed the under on Arizona/Jets. Pittsburgh was the only horrible advice. Delain check in how did you do?

This week I want to pick the Bears so bad. They give me no reason unless Brett Farve is having a kegger for his ex teammates in the parking lot at Lambeau

Give me the Vikings Abusing the Right tackle of Philadelphia's. While I worry about the Viking oline I am cautiously optomistic think that we will run the ball a little against the Philly.

Vikings Win ugly 30 -3.

Very impressive Tim, 6 out of 7.

I almost considered Pittsburgh in an elimination pool, but had a bad feeling about it. My girlfriend talked me out of Arizona, she really liked Pittsburgh. She also eliminated any thoughts I had of taking GB against Dallas. We solidly agreed on Tennessee over Cleveland, and they hung onto win for me.

I decided at the start of the season not to take any away teams, unless I felt I really had to. I am staying alive, 1 of 3 left, in a pool that started with 10. 2 were eliminated last week taking Denver and Pittsburgh on the road.

I MIGHT be taking the Pack this week, not sure yet; or maybe Denver.

BTW Tim was 5-7...Seattle did not cover....but still impressive.

I came out ahead....but I wish I would have made more of Tim's bets obviously instead of just Pitt and Seattle.. I bet Seattle, Dallas and Indy in a 3-bet parlay to win straight up with no points 10-1 odds....I got back to my seat and noticed that they accidently put points +3 on the Indy game (reducing the odds to 7-1) and I went back to see if they could change it...and they said sorry but the ticket is yours once you walk away. I was so pissed when Indy was winning and then through pure stupidity they gave up 14 in 2.5 minutes and then lost....but only by 3 in overtime......so the stupid mistake by the ticket agent actually saved me....but since 1 of the 3 in the parlay was a push...I only got paid 4-1.

One of my other bets was the O/U of 43 on the Giants/Ravens game....I picked the over....it was ugly early on and my friends were laughing at me for picking the over....but then the over won.

My ugliest bet was taking Philly over the Redskins.......we are going to kill Philly next week.

I wish I would have bet on the Philly/Vikings game...but I am a little far away to collect.

Hey Delain, I probably won't be starting my own booking service anytime soon. Fun to throw my ideas to you though. I liked Seattle to win but not cover but did not explain that (I think I think I got interrupted on that post and meant to come back to Detroit and Seattle with more detail. Sorry.

Marty I am with you on road games for survivor. That is the sole reason I didn't pick Pittsburgh this last week. I would stay away from Green Bay this week. I took them against the Giants, with Giants coming off the Vikings loss when they were well rested after the bye. That might have been the best last chance to use them. They are down 3 cbs and only thing Chicago can do is pass the ball for over 300 with Hoyer. I feel an upset coming although right now I have a 9 on GB in picks pool. I am definitely going to lower that number and I really want to pick the Bears.

The Westgate Superbook is quite amazing. The rest of the old casino, not so much. A few of us got there at 7:45 a.m on Sunday (wholly shit was that tough) to get 7 lazy boy seats in a row. They have about 200 of these nice chairs. 7 forty foot screens that they can split into fours. We all had our Jerseys on for various teams. It was a lot of fun. Non smoking.

Between bets and fantasy football, I was pretty interested in all of the screens.

So I was betting mostly for fun but I wasn't betting the minimum $10. If you bet $50 you get drink tickets. After 10 hours I walked away with about $150. Lost some, won some.

The location off the strip really hurts it these days
