ORIGINAL: David Levine Tonight is a big game for Thabeet - going against a tough Pitt front line. This is the game that could really sway me. ************************************** Actually Pitt's frontline is very small, height-wise. Biggs and Blair are their only two big men to speak of and they are 6-8 and 6-7 respectively. Blair is a beast and one of the best rebounders in the country, especially offensively. He does outweigh Thabeet, but the key to this game is going to come down to which guy (Thabeet/Blair) can stay out of early foul trouble. I would imagine that Blair will be matched up with Adrien primarily, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him defending Thabeet late in the game. Pitt plays very little zone, but they may have to more than they would like especially if Blair gets in early foul trouble, like he's prone to. Losing Dyson hurts UConn but they are so deep, especially compared to Pitt. UConn will probably go with both Walker and Price to start. Wanamaker has been contributing off the bench lately for Pitt, but that's about all they got on the bench. Pitt will need a big game from Young and Blair, with Fields doing his usual thing. Dixon needs to shoot well from the perimeter, something that UConn defends really well. UConn is a 3 point favorite. As much as I would like to see Pitt win, I think the spread is too low.
