Yes, Jodie Meeks.  He's a stud.  That's why I don't pay attention to the mocks, especially early.  Not only can Meeks shoot, he's a very good defender and he's strong.  Nice stroke and can get to the rim.  He will be a first round pick.

Jack McClinton, yes, he's an amazing shooter.  Almost single handedly beat UNC. He is the best shooter in the country, IMO.

I'd be more than thrilled if we draft Hardin with our pick and Thabeet slides to the Miami pick. But either one of those is a long shot.


If we were to get lucky with our lottery and move into the top 2 or 3, I would definitely package Foye and the Miami pick to try to move into the second or 3rd slot. That way they could draft Harden and Thabeet (who will be  #2 or 3 by draft night) back to back.

Status: offline 		I was never down on Thabeet. I never looked at him as top 3 pick until Tucker started raving about him and what he does without the basketball.

I completely disagree about Harden. I think he is easily the best guard in this year's draft. In fact I like him better than Rose or Mayo from last year.

Lawson is a very intriguing as I see him as a true PG and a top 10 pick, but Meeks (undersized SG mid 2nd round) and McClinton (small combo guard late 1st) aren't even in the discussion IMO.

You've taken care of our draft. Milwaukee is unable to move Jefferson and agrees to trade us Sessions at the deadline for the Boston pick and an expiring (Ollie?). We move Mike Miller for an expiring (Cleveland for Wally?). With our cap space we sign Marvin Williams since he can defend and nail the 3.

Sessions/Telfair
Harden/Brewer
Williams/Gomes/Brewer
Jefferson/Love
Thabeet/Jefferson

Suddenly we are young and BIG as a team, and everyone is playing their natural positions.

Actually Pitt's frontline is very small, height-wise.  Biggs and Blair are their only two big men to speak of and they are 6-8 and 6-7 respectively.  Blair is a beast and one of the best rebounders in the country, especially offensively.  He does outweigh Thabeet, but the key to this game is going to come down to which guy (Thabeet/Blair) can stay out of early foul trouble.  I would imagine that Blair will be matched up with Adrien primarily, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him defending Thabeet late in the game.  Pitt plays very  little zone, but they may have to more than they would like especially if Blair gets in early foul trouble, like he's prone to.

Losing Dyson hurts UConn but they are so deep, especially compared to Pitt.  UConn will probably go with both Walker and Price to start. 

Wanamaker has been contributing off the bench lately for Pitt, but that's about all they got on the bench.  Pitt will need a big game from Young and Blair, with Fields doing his usual thing.  Dixon needs to shoot well from the perimeter, something that UConn defends really well.

UConn is a 3 point favorite.  As much as I would like to see Pitt win, I think the spread is too low.

He had no impact on the game. Littler guys went right at him and I thought he looked lost playing team defense. He looked like he had no idea where to rotate to and almost appeared disinterested.
